Way outside my comfort zone
I think I'm going to do something way outside my comfort zone tonight. I recently got rid of cable so I don't get ESPN. I really didn't think this decision all the way through because college basketball season just started. I am a huge KU basketball fan. They are playing Kentucky tonight on ESPN. I think I am going to go a sports bar I've gone to a few times for a happy hour and watch it there completely by myself. Any of my female friends I would ask to go are 1. not basketball fans or 2. have children and wouldn't be able to. Here's to a Jayhawk win...and possibly meeting a cute boy

Re: Way outside my comfort zone
I did this one night (except it was football)...I wanted to watch a Thursday night game, my daughter was with her dad, and no one else wanted to go..so I said F it and went by myself, got some grub, and had a few...it was fun!
Enjoy it!!!!
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
FUN! One of my best adventures I had was by going to a bar by myself...it was WAY out of my comfort zone, but turned into a good thing!
I'm not the sort of person to go and do things on my own either (I just had to force myself to the cafeteria at work to eat by myself or find someone because my normal lunch buddy is out today). I've gone to a sports bar - only one time - by myself and it was suprisingly not bad. I sat at the bar beside someone who appeared to be there alone and we chatted and made fun of the drunk couple beside us. It was fun...It wasn't as torturous as I thought it would be.
Good Luck
