Cleaning laminate wood floors?
So, we have laminate wood in our family room and kitchen. We have two dogs, and there are paw prints all over the place, and water marks from them dripping their water all over the kitchen floor. We bought a swiffer wet jet and that thing blows. It leaves a film and you have to press down so hard to actually get it clean. Has anyone found anything that works really well and doesn't leave a film? I really don't want to have to clean them on my hands and knees.... Do I need one of those steam mops or something? Help!
Re: Cleaning laminate wood floors?
We had laminate in our rental townhouse before we moved to Omaha. I swore it would be the death of me. Here is what I learned:
-Clean it with either warm water and vinegar (the smell goes away) OR Bona Laminate Floor Cleaner (You can get this almost anywhere).
-When I was done mopping--I had to get on the floor and towel dry the whole thing. That was the only way I wouldn't get spots from cleaning.
-I have the Shark Steam Mop but it seemed to leave streaks.
Basically, I always wrestled with having it look "spotty." From water drips to footprints, it never looked good. Hope that helps.
