I just bought a Groupon type thing...(a vent)
for an 18 x 24 canvas. It was $30 and it includes shipping. I'm excited.
But I don't know how to choose a photo for it!
Any suggestions? I think I want it to just be of T. Do I use an old photo? A current one? A new born one? 6 month? 1 year? Wait till I get his 2 yr done? A pro one? One that I took?
Ahhhh!
Re: I just bought a Groupon type thing...(a vent)
That's not a vent, that's indecision.
I just went through some photos from 2 years ago, and found a few that I love that I didn't pay attention to at the time.
Go through some old ones and make a list of your top 10. Same for more current ones. Then start to narrow it down. You have some time, right?
I also bought something similar, a month or so ago. I figured by now I'd have a better idea of what I should use it for (Christmas gift for my parents...his parents...him...something else entirely...) and what photo I would pick. I figured wrong.
I have 2 canvases (from Canvas On Demand through Groupon) - one is a family pic of us 3, and one is of Ben around 16 months. It was HARD decision considering I have a bajillion pics of Ben, but I chose one that I wouldnt get sick of looking at, and went with the "colors" in my living room.
Is it a gallery wrap (where the picture wraps the edge)? If so, make sure you choose one with room on all sides of your subject so that some of your cutie doesn't get wrapped around the edge.
IF you cant choose pose some choices and we can help
I have no business replying to this post because I am TERRIBLE at picking favorites. But technically speaking, what freeburger said. And you need to make sure that the picture is the right resolution and dimensions (the website will tell you what they need) so that when you blow it up , it won't be pixelated. And you need to make sure there are no flaws because when blown up big, they are really going to show...
What kind of flaws? I plan on using one of yours from T's 6 month shoot at the beach. The colors will match the livingroom (thanks Freeburger) and that shoot was fantastic.
Like if you were shooting with a pop up flash and it completely bleached out his face, it will REALLY be pronounced when you blow the picture up big. Or if the image was blurry.. Let me know if you need any help from me with the sizing, etc. If it doesn't crop to what you want when you upload it, let me know and I'll recrop it for you (assuming I can). I love that shoot too!
Ahh I see.
And thanks for the offer of help. I might need to take you up on that.
