More disrespect of the bird

Our neighborhood has a big apartment-style retirement home in it. Today, when I was walking our dog in the park across the street, I notices some lights out of the corner of my eye, looked up and saw that someone has lights on his/her balcony and a lit-up Christmas tree in the window!

Re: More disrespect of the bird

  • We went to The Container Store in Clarendon and right at the intersection of Washington and Garfield there's a HUGE tree all lit up in white lights in one of the apartments clearly visible from the street.

What's the rush?  You get 6 weeks of Christmas decor!  Calm down folks.

  • The week of Halloween my neighbors put all 30 blow up Christmas lawn ornaments in their yard and lights on their house/fence.  Oddly enough, they still have a spring time flag flying on the front porch.  I swear I will take a picture one night when everything is all blown/lit up.  It makes me despise them.

  • My dad starts putting his lights up in late October, but never turns anything on (except to test) until Thanksgiving night. The weather is typically much warmer than if he waited until Thanksgiving.

Yes, totally understandable in my opinion! It's the people that turn them on night after night that early...

I was waiting for a prescription in Walgreen's last night, and was subjected to hearing "Feliz Navidad" and a few other Christmas songs. Gahhh... I don't want to hear them in the middle of November!

I totally get that & I think it makes sense if thtat's when you have the time or good weather, as long as they're not on every night!
