What are you cooking for the feast? I'm bringing apps and a dessert
Favorite Thanksgiving food? sweet potato casserole
How many days do you have off work? 4.5
Do you go shopping on Black Friday? depends if the sales are good
Any random thoughts/vents/comments about T'giving? Every year with DH's family it is drama over who is going where. I'm over it!
What are you thankful for? my gorgeous, healthy children

We still don't know what we're doing for Thanksgiving.
We aren't doing Black Friday shopping, except maybe online.
My only vent is that we need to decide what we're doing.
I'm thankful for my family, especially DH and Keefe.
And I'm very thankful for my new car, I love it.
This poll kinda stresses me out!
We are going to the beach for the week- rented a huge house, community has an indoor pool, etc. My parents and my ILs are both coming down.
I love all REAL Thanksgiving foods!
Since we invited everyone I guess technically we are the hosts. Also I am going to be doing the bulk of the shopping since we are going to be down for the whole week. My mom gets our turkey from a friend of hers who has a farm, she picks him up on Tuesday and is driving down that day w/ the bird on ice.
My ILs are flying into a nearby airport, which I hope makes it impossible that MIL will bring down food. She always wants me to make this sausage stuffing which she claims is a big family tradition, but I prefer a "lighter" less salty stuffing- also the thought of putting nasty processed Bob Evans sausage in my heritage/free range/organic turkey makes me stabby!
What are you cooking for the feast? Brined Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Corn, Green Bean Casserole, Biscuits, Pumpkin Pie and Banana Pudding. My MIL is bringing the stuffing.
Favorite Thanksgiving food? Probably the turkey although it's all good
How many days do you have off work? I'm still on maternity leave
Do you go shopping on Black Friday? Heck yes! I love a good deal and can't wait to go through the circulars and plan my shopping that night.
Any random thoughts/vents/comments about T'giving? I hate my MIL's stuffing. I think it tastes terrible. DH loves it and insists she make it every year and my MIL happily obliges. I love stuffing but I can't eat hers but I would feel extremely rude making my own, although I am tempted.
What are you thankful for? My DH and two healthy kids. A job, good health and a roof over my head.
I've never heard of this.
Are you hosting Thanksgiving? No, my Mom always does. She has more space and it's easier for my grandparents. I live too far away for them to drive.
What are you cooking for the feast? spinach & artichoke dip, mashed potatoes, peas, cheesy corn casserole, caramel apple cheesecake pie
Favorite Thanksgiving food? turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green bean casserole, stuffing, rolls - everything except the sweet potato casserole and cranberry sauce, really
How many days do you have off work? N/A
Do you go shopping on Black Friday? I do not.
Any random thoughts/vents/comments about T'giving? My Mom's been working her assoff lately, so I took over the menu and divvying up the dishes in an effort to keep the bulk of it off of her shoulders. One sister has elected to stay home and only join us for dessert (which, don't even get me started - I'm pissedoff), so it's down to my other sister and I since my grandparents, the one uncle who's coming and my Dad don't cook. I'm a little overwhelmed by how much I'm making and how to space it out next week so that I'm not in the kitchen all day on any one day, and the length of my grocery list is a little ridic.
What are you thankful for? My family.
