Sounds to me like a great reason to keep it, LOL.
LOL. I count myself very lucky that I get along with my MIL very well. When I got my eyebrow pierced she was really unimpressed. When I came home with my first tattoo- she told me I was going to get hepatitis. We luckily have the type of relationship where I can just roll my eyes at her and move on.
It is that little piece on the inside of the ear that sticks out. Was annoying with headphones though..
