Husband did not respect the Turkey

My Christmas tree is up. We bought a new one today for the new house because our other one was so so tiny and we found exactly what I wanted at a great price. I was doing the " I got my tree for way cheaper than I thought I would" dance all the way to the car and he decided that he would put it up today " to make sure all the lights work and nothing is wrong with it" which is code words for " I want to make you happy and you love to decorate our tree so I'll let you put it up before Thanksgiving since we won't be home the day after Thanksgiving." He got it all set up! It looks perfect near the big windows in the front of the house!

I'm going to wait until the weekend to decorate it though. I'll PIP after its decorated! Big Smile

Re: Husband did not respect the Turkey

  • LOL. I did buy a snowflake table clothe yesterday for our new table and an apple cinnamon candle. Our tree(palm tree) is up year round but I also plugged in the lights to make sure they worked yesterday. I'd full on decorate if my decorations weren't in storage and I hadn't lost my key.

I'm kind of sad because I leave for a TDY after Thanksgiving, I hope DH will decorate while I'm gone.

I know! I thought it was really cute that he wanted to do it so that if I really wanted to decorate tonight while he is in class I can.

BLT, I'm sure your H will decorate some while you are TDY. I remember your Christmas tree from last year, its so cute!

I got a 9 foot pre-lit tree at Home Depot for $234. It was $350 at Costco for the same tree. SO so happy with it and it was so easy to put together.

ETA: I can go look at the box for the specifics if your interested.

Its actually in the front living room so as soon as puppers decides that its way past dinner time and he gets up I'll go look. I just hate to disrupt him as he is so so cute sleeping.

ETA: Link For some reason it says $249 online, our store had it for $234.

If you're not looking for one that big, our BX has a 7' pre-lit for $120, and Big Lots was advertising a 7.5' pre-lit for $100.
