What's your good news? I need to hear some right now. My dad's lung biopsy was yesterday (the original pulmonary fibrosis diagnosis was questioned by a more experienced pulmonologist), and the surgeon said even without seeing the results, he'll probably need a lung transplant sooner rather than later. My mom is having a hard time keeping it together and/because dad is in a bit of denial because he still feels pretty healthy.
So cheer me up, please!

Re: Good News Wednesday
I got the first half of my photos organized into a photobox. I have one full so far and will try to get the other one done tonight. I'm really happy that I spent the money to get the Year's worth of pictures printed.

Kelly, sorry to hear about your Dad, how much longer until you fly over there?
My good news is that there is a fabric market on Sat, I'm planning on getting fleece to make christmas presents with
I'm sorry Kelly, that is really tough news to deal with. Will you be able to go home at all anytime soon?
My good news is that I bought my plane ticket home last night. It is really kind of bittersweet as I don't know when I will get an opportunity like this again, but I'm pretty excited to go home and see my family, friends, and dogs!

Kelly I am so sorry to hear about your Dad.
My good news is that we fly off to Singapore tomorrow to go to a doctors appointment but also spending some quality family time together, 4 days of drinking tap water, eating food without fear of gastro and clean air have me pretty much giddy with excitement, even if I was only there two weeks ago.
So sorry, Kelly.
My good news is that we have guests on the way today. Lots of laughs and fun times are in my future. We're getting a babysitter Friday night so we can go out. I'm excited.
Thanks, ladies. I'll be flying home with DD on Dec 10th for xmas (wasn't originally planned but I booked the trip when he was diagnosed in September). Next summer DH is taking paternity leave and we'll be staying with my parents for 5 months. That was planned before we heard about my dad, so I'm really really happy that we'll have that extended time with him and to help support my mom.
And apropos Singapore - I can only imagine your excitement! I remember when I was in Syria how excited I was to fly back to Germany and have a hot shower and drink tap water again. As much as I liked being there for a while, I don't think I'm the kind of person who can live in those conditions for an extended period of time. Kudos to you for being able to, and enjoy your trip to Singapore!
Sorry Kelly (((hugs)))
My physio cleared me to start light workouts so I'm rejoining the gym and starting my workouts tomorrow! I would go today, but I'm kind of hung over after too much fun last night. I'm really starting to feel a bit more together recently which is great.
Also... I got a dress in the post that I totally forgot I ordered and it's fantastic. I have no idea what I'll wear it to but will go ahead and create a situation where I need a long black dress with fabulous sequinned neckline.

Kelly, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, but I'm so glad you're able to go home for Christmas, and spend an extended period of time with your family next year. (((HUGS)))
I've finished 15 pockets on my advent calendar...only 9 to go! Otherwise...ummm...not much.
I'm so sorry about your dad, Kelly. ((hugs))
hmm, I've had a pretty uneventful week so far. I guess my good news is that I am going to TG dinner at an american friend's house on saturday, so excited! :-)
I am sorry Kelly!!!! ((HUGS))
ugh. I'm sorry Kelly!
my good news is that I slept until noon, am still in my pajamas and I ate cereal for lunch. I feel like a teenager again!
Sorry about your Dad Kelly. He must be so happy that you are going home for xmas.
My good news: Beaujolais Nouveau arrives tomorrow!
So sorry, Kelly!
My good news is that I go home on Friday for a week. I can't wait. I've ordered a swimsuit, booked a bikini wax and plan to spend as much time as possible pool/beach-side. While I'm home we're also going to have my baby shower, two birthday parties, a wedding and Thaksgiving. It's going to be fun but exausting!
So sorry to hear about your dad Kelly... :-((
My good news is that my boss signed off for me to do 4 day weeks for the months of Feb, March & April next year (using my left over holidays from this year)!!! Yay!! And I've thought of a way to extend that by another month - using another 4 days from the 24 I will have for 2012!! Which means 3 days a week spent with my DD then...
Kelly, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. ((hugs))
My good news is that I've started applying to clerkships for September! I have some great contacts who have been very helpful in this process and I'm hoping to get a secure spot for a clerkship soon!
Oh Kelly, I am so sorry that the news is not good. So pleased you get to go home for Christmas.
We have another viewer to look at the house, fingers crossed that this is the one.
Yay! I seriously, seriously heart paternity leave.
You and your family are in my T&Ps kelly!
My good news is that the dog's bloodwork came back all clear! Her kidneys look good, her liver is fine and she is the healthiest 9 year old dog the vet has seen in a while! Yay! Seems like the antibiotics are working too.
And my shower is this weekend with my friends in Atlanta. One of my besties is coming into town and I haven't seen her since we moved back!
