OK so I finished Mockingjay tonight. Did not expect Katniss to not kill Snow and kill Coin instead that one kind of blew my mind. I will say that for some reason even though Gale was very important in her story for some reason I was sure that she would end up with Peeta in the end so that wasn't surprising.
Thanks to all of you who recommended these books they were pretty awesome. I am 1/2 looking forward to potentially seeing the movie but I have some reservations on how they can do the film keeping the teen audience that it will target in mind but cut enough of the "violence" out to make it not R rated. I have looked at casting and seeing as how the majority of the cast are relative unknowns to me I have no preconceived notions on how the actors will do in most of the roles. Woody Harrelson as Haymitch and Lenny Kravitz as Cinna are kind of not what I expected but we'll see.

Re: ~~Hunger Games Trilogy(spoilers)~~
The ending surprised me as well! I really hope they do a good job with the movie. Did you see the trailer that came out this week?
I'm not thrilled with Haymitch and Cinna's casting, but I think they did a good job with everybody else. So excited!

I still need to read the last book from the Outlander series. I have a chick lit fluff book up next and am thinking about trying Girl With The Dragon Tattoo next. I have heard mixed reviews on that one so we'll see.

I devoured this series. Like you, I knew that Katniss and Peeta would end up together. My least favorite thing about the series was that their coming back together was so rushed.
I was totally shocked that Katniss killed Coin too, but once it happened it made total sense to me. The biggest shock to me, though, was when Prim died. I did not see that coming and I had to put the book down for a bit because I was so upset.
I'm excited for the movie, but like most I'm a little scared that it won't live up. The main thing will be to go in to it and try to not compare it to the book too much. That's the only way for me to truly enjoy movies based off books.
Emily - Let us know how to like Outlander. Like Paige said, it starts really slow, but gets so much better. I started it twice before I got past the slow part. The first book in the series is still my favorite. Voyager (the 3rd) is my next favorite so far.
