Re: QOTD Wednesday (Travel)
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Christmas in Michigan for me. We're not going for long, but I'm looking forward to it. My mom's ecstatic--I haven't been to Michigan for Christmas since 2006. She's already planning a bunch of stuff for meals (tamales for Christmas dinner!) and is probably already going all out with gifts.
After that, we might go to Austin in the early spring, and we'll definitely be going back to Cancun in April.
We've talked about going to a Caribbean resort in January or February, but no firm plans yet. It's a little intimidating to think about traveling with Darian now. V has mentioned that we ought to take my parents and/or his parents along if we travel (they'd be THRILLED). I have to admit that it would make admits easier, but the idea of spending a week straight with my ILs is not that appealing so I'm kind of in denial lol.
Otherwise, we also want to go to Hong Kong so Darian can meet his only great grandma. But that's an even longer flight! Oy.

As you all know, I am headed to Disney on Saturday! I am not excited or anything. It's funny, I think I am looking forward to being on vacation more then where we are going. I'm sure once I get there that will change.
This is for pure fun. Honestly, this whole trip was a gift to us, otherwise we would NOT be going. DH and I are very thankful for it, and will have a blast regardless. The trip will have my MIL, BIL and his 2 kids (they are pre-teens), and the best part my BFF and his partner are coming Sat - Thursday. MIL has offerred to take the boys a couple of evenings so DH and I can get some adult time. Yay.
The only thing we have planned right now is TGiving in New Mexico at the ILs. It's a 6 hour drive. We don't usually travel much in the winter.
I'm sure DH will be wanting to plan next summer very soon - we put monthly calendars on a bulletin board and mark off our plans for the entire summer.
Immediately next is Ottawa and New York for a week. I'll be working for a few days in our office in NYC, but can't wait to catch up with family and friends. And shop, lots and lots of shopping
After that is a week in the Maldives at the end of January. A much needed pure relaxation vacation.

We leave for Vegas in the morning!
After that we have a trip to Alaska for a long weekend in Feb. for a friends wedding and then we're meeting my parents in Vegas for a long over presidents day in Feb.
Next big trip out of the country is Lithuania and Russia in April/May.

We're heading up to San Francisco for a long weekend in December and I've never been there so I'm really excited! The only other firm plan is Vegas in February, my friend has a conference there and I'm going to go out and meet her for a girls weekend.
As soon as we start to get on our feet here, we'll start planning our next big trip, I'm thinking Japan or New Zealand.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
