What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? going to MILs along with MY family. My parents love that she cooks, MIL loves being Martha Stewart. Everybody's happy! I think this is the 3rd year she has hosted my family. I had a talk with my mom about learning how to say "Thank you, MIL. We'd love for you to host us." My mom tries to play tit-for-tat and say "oh, WE should return the favor" but my mom does not love hosting, MIL lives for it.

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? prob a chocolate dessert and an appetizer.

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping? maybe... I don't love crowds going apeshit over deals to be all up in my way when I'm trying to shop. It is not my idea of fun times.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? Normally DH & I host but this year we're going to a friend's house.

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? I'm making macaroni & cheese and maybe stuffing muffins or cornbread muffins.

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping? No. I have to work but even if I didn't, I wouldn't go.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? We are going out. I need to make reservations today or tomorrow.

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? We may cook some homemade soup and cornbread for Wed. night dinner but no turkey or trimmings

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping? I plan to hit one or two small store but none of the big box retailers. I hate crowds.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? we go to my grandmother's house with my parents, my first cousins, their kids and my uncle. my mom told me to get DH to invite MIL and BIL...but that ain't happening

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? probably mac and cheese, pecan squares since my dad has been asking for pie SINCE AUGUST, and maybe some of those pretzel/hershey hug treats.

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping?heck yes!! it's so fun, i go every year with my mom and sister. but with target opening at midnight this year, we might have to revise our gameplan...not sure if we're going to do that, then sleep and then hit the other stores, or just go to target at 5ish like normal.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? we are going to my parents house in carrollton. 2nd year doing it (as they bought the house last year). it's going to be weird and small. just me, dh, stepson and my parents. my sis and her dh are going to indiana and my grandma is going to rock babies

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? yes - dressing. since grandma isn't coming i have to attempt to make hers. it will either be a success or a HUGE failure.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? My mom, stepfather and brother are coming up from Florida to have Thnksgvng with us. No, this will be our first year in GA for the holiday.

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? Yes. I'm making pernil, arroz con gandules, spanish potatoes, mashed potatoes, roasted corn, harvest salad, macnchz, sweet potato casserole, stuffin muffins, a couple of appetizers and dessert!

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping? Not at all. I stay away from the crowds

We are hosting close friends, which is what we've done every year we've been together except last year when a friend hosted b/c I had a baby

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? I am cooking : turkey, stuffing, an updated green bean casserole type dish, cranberry pear sauce, carrot pudding (it's like a savory carrot cake), and pumpkin cheesecake.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? We are driving down to visit both sets of parents and will be back that evening. ETA - it's our norm.

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? Nope. I am bringing some freebie sides from a restaurant (it was a bonus for buying gift cards)

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping? Yep! I'll start TG eve at midnight to see what's available, then hit it again TG morning, and BF at midnight - all online. We'll go out for furniture and other small stuff (no malls!) though.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? Hosting. My parents, brother, SIL, and niece are all coming in town. Normal? Not really sure what normal is. We hosted last year, and my MIL and FIL also came, but decided not to this year for whatever reason. Prior to that, we went to Iowa to my brother and SIL place.

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? Yes. Everything. And I am not much of a cook, I have never cooked a turkey before, so it ought to be very, very interesting. Everyone coming for dinner ought to be very, very afraid!

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping? Hellz no. I don't do well in crazy crowds.

edit*** I forgot that we are doing pictures with Santa on Black Friday, although it will be at Phipps Plaza.. so hopefully it won't be too insane there.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do?

I don't really have a "normal." Last year we were in Switzerland and they (obviously) don't celebrate American Thanksgiving. We've only done one other Thanksgiving since we've been married, and in college we always went to my parents' house.

This year, we are living near his family and doing Thanksgiving with them - I think there will be almost 20 of us. Yikes! I'm doing a 5K Turkey Trot in the morning and then working until 5, so I'll be back just in time to eat

Definitely. I love any excuse to cook. I have no idea what, though. It seems like everyone already has their "thing" to bring but I will probably do rolls or appetizers or something.

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping?
I've never been but DH's family is into it and I was really looking forward to it this year. I have to work all day on Friday, though, so I may go out Thursday night and do the really early morning thing. Or I may just sleep in. There's nothing I really want to buy, I just want to do the whole "experience."

What are you doing for Thanksgiving and is it what you normally do? going to the senior home to eat their TD Brunch with her and then heading to my dad's house for dinner and FIL will be there with his GF. This is fairly normal for us.

Are you cooking anything? If so, what? I'm supposed to bring a vegetable side but everything that my family will eat is already being made. They don't really "do" vegetables so I might make a squash casserole.

Do you plan to do any Black Friday shopping?I usually do but I might skip it this year. We've had a lot of unforeseen costs lately.
