I currently go to All Creatures. I love that place but it is soo expensive! My dog gets the Bordatella shot every 6 months and they always want to do a biannual exam. He is due for his shot and I just want the shot and that is all this time. Where is a good place to go?

(he gets his other shots too but this is the only one he is due for).

    We got to Gentle Doctor on 120th and Blondo and love the staff.  Our pup gets the bortadella but only once a year at his annual exam.  He has all his vaccines and yearly checkup then when we pay for the office visit.  When he needs his heartworm test done a different time of the year, they don't charge the office visit and just charge for that to be checked.

    Ridgeview on 180th & Center. We get all the grooming done there too.  Love them!  One of my dogs gets the bordetella vx every 6 months and there is never an office call/exam involved.  Two exams yearly?  Is your dog a senior or have other health problems?  We get all the grooming done there too.  Love them!

    My dog is 2 and has no issues. I think that vet just always does biannual which is weigh them and feel their joints. Its a waste of money imo. They also want the stool sample and heartworm tests done but I never do those.

    I don't know how far west you want to go, but Dr. Burton Smith (Chance Ridge Vet Clinic) in Elkhorn is a personal friend of our family. If we have any major small animal issues we go to him.

    We go to All Creatures too and I'm always ASTOUNDED at the bill after each visit.  I guess I thought that was the norm everywhere!  Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that place is outrageous.  :)

    We take our dog to Mr. Van Hottie (Van Dorn) at Omaha Animal Medical Group on 120th just south of Maple :)

    We go to Elkhorn Animal Hospital. We love them! They are very reasonable too:)

    We go to American Animal Hospital.  I love all of the vets, Drs. Rutar & Williams are prob who we see the most, but they all great.  Dr. Rutar is very straight forward and will tell you what you do and don't need.  Our dog LOVES going there despite being there for "ouchie" things like shots, spaying, tooth removal, etc... Everyone from the front desk staff to the vets are wonderful.

    I went off a recommendation and haven't been anywhere else in years.  They even have affordable boarding. :) It's at 108th & Maple on the Northwest corner just west of LaMesa.

    I cannot say enough about BJ Ravnsborg, who works at Walnut Creek Vet (96th and 370).  I started going to him when he was at Ralston, followed him to Elkhorn, and then he finally started his own clinic.  Cannot say enough about him.
