So yesterday I posted that I was going to go to a sport bar by myself to watch the KU/Kentucky game. I knew the bar I was going to was a huge KU bar, so I went about an hour and a half before the game started. I should have gone way earlier. The place was packed. There wasn't one empty seat at the actual bar area. I looked around a little and decided to go to another bar. I decided on a bar/restaurant not too far from my house. It was dead and they had the smallest TVs ever. I ordered one beer and then left and went to my neighbor's to watch.
The Jayhawks didn't get the win and I didn't get to flirt with any cute KU boys
But I wasn't near as nervous going as I thought I would be. I think I'll try it again -- just make sure and get to the bar early!
Re: f/u to outside my comfort zone
This! You are going to be so confident before you know it!
Thanks! The first "stepping out" thing I did was go to the movies by myself. It was really huge for me, but also something not as intimidating as going to a bar or restaurant. After I did it I was like that was no thing. So maybe try something small like that!
