Justin Bieber baby drama

From TMZ:

Justin Bieber's baby mama has dismissed her paternity lawsuit against the singer ... TMZ has learned.

The suit was quietly dismissed late last week.  What's more, Mariah Yeater's lawyers,Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, have quit her ... withdrawn from the case.

As we first reported, Justin not only planned to take a DNA test when he returned to the U.S., he was going to sue Yeater and her lawyers for making a bogus claim.  And, as we reported, Justin's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, called the attorneys and informed them a suit was looming.

Apparently, they got the message.

Re: Justin Bieber baby drama

  • Lol! I knew she was lying! How can people do this? Now people are always going to think she is crazy. I can't imagine the ridicule she will receive.
  • If it was true, it would have made him exponentially more interesting.
  • It seems like such a stupid thing for her/her lawyers to do in the first place.  It's so easy to disprove.

    Totally!

  • My husband, the cynic (or optimist in this case as I was hoping it would be true for entertainment purposes! ha), has a theory that she was paid off to withdraw the case because the paternity test came up positive. I said, "But the test wasn't scheduled until next month." He said, "Think about it. That's the perfect set up. People don't think the test has taken place so they would never suspect a pay off. He could have taken the test, it came up positive and they paid her off to go away. If it were negative, when the date came around they could just do an announcement and it could be a big publicity thing because people were waiting forever for the announcement."

    Makes sense to me ;)

I suspect your H is right.

I just read on MSN that the case has not been dismissed, it is just being settled out of court.

Never thought of that, but it is now what I think!

    • I don't know...something just seems off about her. She was arrested for hitting her ex, she at first claimed he was the father. But this is what I don't get...JUSTIN BIEBER picked her out a crowd...walked her down a hallway and said I want to lose my virginity to you...then got her in a bathroom and said I want to F*** the S*** out of you, but I never want to talk to you again?
    •  I wonder if she didn't think it would get this big and that they would pay her off in the beginning because they wouldn't want the bad publicity even if it weren't true? But I bet she got paid bank for the tabloid stories and always knew she would drop charges. She can't get charged for statutory rape without their being proof they had sex and since she dropped the charges before he took a test she walks away without being charged and a lot of money.
  • Good, I'm glad she dropped it.  I have a 13 year old step daughter who likes Justin, and just from what I've seen about him, he seems like a decent kid and down to earth.  I'm glad it wasn't true.

Interesting theory, but I hope it's not true.

Agreed! I would not wish this on anyone..

  • I highly doubt he just 'paid her off' - her lawyers would never allow that knowing his earning potential and thus potential child support. I know a few people who are close with him, and they said they highly doubt it was true - he is pretty heavily guarded by his management so he doesn't make mistakes like that.

  • It was a joke. There are clearly some Beliebers on this board.

Not going to lie, its the first thing I thought of when I read that the suit was dropped.

IMHO, I think the baby has similar features to Bieber.
