Let's Talk About Cheddars

DH and I went last night and LOVED it!  We want to take my folks there this weekend to thank them for helping us paint, so I was curious who else has been and what you ate..the menu is so vast it was hard to pick!

DH had Chicken Fried Steak with sides of Broccoli Cheese Casserole and Beans and Rice.  I had Chicken and Waffles- SUPER YUMMO

For alcohol drinks, I had the Texas Sweet Tea (BIG and only3.50!) DH had the Maui Margarita,  AMAZING..half mango, half strawberry marg served with a shot of Cactus Juice on the side...too fun!

Our total bill was only 27.56!  Big portions too....

Same here on the waiting it out..but we were at Home Depot last night, so we figured what the heck.  It was about 7:30, and we waited about 10-15 minutes..not too bad...

  • We went a few weeks ago. I had the buffalo chicken wrap. It was good. My mom had the monte cristo and it looked amazing!

  • You have to get there at like 5 or after 730.... between that is typically a long wait (45mins-1.5 hrs). We went for a girls night out at like 730 and got right in. We had the sample appetizer platter with nachos, cheese sticks, and potato skins and it was good. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn and it was very good. My friend had the hawaiin type salad and I thought it was very good too. Their strawberry lemonade was quite yummy! Tried going back with H but the wait was way too long. Pricing was very reasonable and food was good.
Married 5/14/07 Momma to two amazing boys 6/20/08 & 11/20/09
  • We went with some friends at 8 on a friday a few weeks ago and the wait was long. I had chicken, with brocolli and a baked potato (asked for it loaded, didn't come that way) and the brocolli had sand/dirt in it. I took a bite and it was gritty, yuck!

My husband had the ribs and they were tough, he almost knocked a drink over trying to saw through them.

My girlfriend had the salmon, she loved it (minus the gritty brocolli), and her husband had the shepherds pie and said it was ok.

All in all, I just chalked it up to being a busy opening month for them, I'll go back and give it another try in a few weeks when it dies down and judge from there.

  • DH and I were headed there last night and it looked PACKED!!  How long was the wait?  We ended up going to Famous Daves.  We will try Cheddars one of these days! I love trying new places.
