Christmas and the husband

What is everyone getting their husband for Christmas? I have no idea what to get Russ. He has everything and is never home. He works out of town 3 weeks out of the month. I always struggle when trying to get him a gift. Any suggestions?

I found this website but I have no idea still what to get. I don't want to go the video game route again. I learned my lesson last year and have pretty much lost my husband to his PS3 when he's on days off. He doesn't read, I mean he doesn't do anything really. I want to do one of those extreme experience things, but there is nothing in our area. Grrrr! Christmas is so stressful LOL.

Re: Christmas and the husband

  • I think I'm going to get Derek a few video games, maybe a neat board game and probably a sweater.  I will probably spend too much money.

  • Russ asked me for some part for his truck. But it's like $600 or something stupid like that. I want to do something unique this year, but he never says he wants anything. :( Why are men so hard to shop for?
  • I'm getting my husband sessions with a personal trainer at our gym. He's had a rough time of it this year with a few injuries, and could use some guidance getting back into lifting. It's not a surprise, though, since he's asked for it.

  • He has asked for a few little things like some new camo pants and shirt for hunting. A new hat and belt from american eagle. I plan to pick up those things after thanksgiving. He wants a flat screen tv for the bedroom right nwo we have an old big tv, but that seems like something for the both of us so I don't know if I will get that or wait and us get that after christmas. He also said he wanted a deer stand. I think I am going to quiz him on what he wants more.

  • I am getting DH a new softball glove and a few t-shirts. I will probably also get him a mini fridge and if I have money left, a poker table. As a stocking stuffer I'm getting him some DVD's and a GC to a clothing store.

  • I was debating about an external hard drive. I'm hoping it's not terribly expensive, but it's something he's talked about in the past. We just bought a TV and our big gift to each other is the new camera. I think that's pretty much it. We try to think of it all as "our" money, so it's tough to go spending a ton of it.

  • I'm not sure what I'm getting DH this year but I have a few ideas - Carhart work clothes, a wallet, a new leather jacket, video games, movies,  itunes gc, and shooting/gun stuff.

  • I have no clue. We set a budget again this year. Last year DH broke it by  getting me a car. He always breaks the rules.

He gave me a ton of stuff he doesn't want. Nothing to do with hobbies. He has all the suits/ties he needs. He doesn't play video games, doesn't like sports.

    I'm clueless.

  • DH has been on a fitness kick moreso than usual lately, and we've been working on building a home gym so I'm going to buy him free weights with a rack. I'm also getting him concert tickets to go see Foo Fighters since they're his favorite. He's usually so hard to buy for, but this year was thankfully easy.

  • Myles is his Xmas present, I will probably get him some power tool he's been drooling over for his birthday though (also Xmas).

  • We aren't getting each other presents this year.  Since we bought the new house and need to furnish the basement, we are going to buy furniture and things instead.
