4:30pm and it's pitch black outside

Of course, it could have gotten dark an hour ago and I'd have no idea as I sit in my sad, windowless office in the corner.
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: 4:30pm and it's pitch black outside
This time of year is the worst, isn't it?
We're going to the Foo Fighters show tonight, and I was hoping to park at Post Office Square (since it's cheap). But now it's gross, and I already feel like crap, so I know we're going to cave and park close and pay a bajillion dollars. Stupid Boston parking.
Do you know about this site: http://boston.bestparking.com/index.php?
May be worth a look to see if there's something a little closer and still cheaper? Or think of it this way, you might actually be able to leave faster if you park a little bit away from the crush of people and cars all leaving at once.
Have fun at the show!
I hate it too.
To make matters worse, the light on the ceiling fan in the living room refuses to turn on (it's not the lightbulbs, the chain won't pull) and DH is away so he can't fix it. That means DS and I are stuck playing in semi darkness by 4pm every night. The two small table lamps I have just aren't cutting it.
*whine*whine*whine*
Have fun at the concert 5kC!
Heeheehee, I love that you started using this little nickname too
I just hope 5KC doesn't mind what I started!
You don't have any bigger floor lamps anywhere in the house that you can drag into the room?
We have no floor lamps. I don't know why. Regardless of my light issue, I'm just a debbie downer this week, so don't mind me.
I was so bummed about this as I was driving to Salem this evening from my regular teaching job. It has been a beautiful drive from Danvers to Salem, but now it was dark and rainy, and that was not fun at all! Plus, it makes me feel even more tired!
I'm fine with either - I've been called much worse, believe me.
I totally dropped the ball on picking something that was easily shortened.
And we didn't end up going. My husband met me for dinner in Harvard Square before we picked up the Zipcar, and I was a mess. Coughing, sneezing, feverish. Went through an entire packet of kleenex while we sat there. I said I could rally, but he didn't want me to push myself. So we ran errands instead, and I was in bed and Nyquiled up by 9:30. I was bummed, but considering how terrible I feel this morning, it was the right call.
Of course, the freaking parking ticket first thing this morning didn't help. Grumble, grumble.
5KC, I'm glad you don't mind the nicknames
Terms of endearment, right?
I'm sorry to hear you're feeling like crap though and missed your show! And, ugh, how annoying about the parking ticket. Hope everything is better soon!
