My wallet is not zipping properly. The teeth separate in random places, unless I go s.u.p.e.r s.l.o.w when zipping it (which I have been doing, but is annoying). I've had it for a few years, so not something I could just exchange to get a new one, but I like the wallet and it's still in great shape, otherwise, so don't really want to buy another $200 one.
I called a Coach store and they said that I can send it in for repair if I pay a $20 S&H fee. But they also said that zippers are frequently not repaired. So, my guess is that I send it off with $20, they tell me it can't be repaired and send it back, and I am in the same boat, less $20. I am guessing they may send a coupon or something - so maybe it would be worth it, if it's enough % off, but don't know if I want to bother.
Anyone send anything off to them for repair and did they accomodate you, even if they didn't fix it? Or have you gotten wallets/handbags repaired at a certain place (tailor?, specialty shop?). If so, where and how much did you spend?
