Good Morning!

Hello ladies! happy thursday! What's on the agenda today?

QOTD: What is your favorite Christmas tradition from your family? From your SO's family? Any new traditions that you have created together?

ETA: in my excitement about Christmas, I forgot to ask those who don't celebrate christmas, do you do have any holiday traditions that you grew up with? your H's family? And also what about family's of mixed religious backgrounds? Do you blend traditions or keep it separate?

Re: Good Morning!

  • I really need to get dressed and head to the prefecture. I slept all day yesterday, so I need to be productive today.I know its early for the Christmas questions, but I am in the Christmas mood! woohooo

QOTD: I really like my aunt's tradition of giving pajamas on Christmas eve so that everyone has new pajamas on Christmas morning for opening presents.  I like that H's family does one Christmas with immediate family and two others with both sides of the family

  • Good morning!  I think I'm going to York today for the 6th time.  I'm hoping I can talk my guests into going to Betty's.

QOTD:  My mom buys us new pajamas, too.  I like it cause my sister's kids and W all have matching ones.  I like our Christmas Eve tradition of playing board games with the whole family until really late.  It's always a lot of fun.

  • Hello!!!

I am about to go to work. I cant wait for the weekend. It had been a really long week.

QOTD: I also get new Christmas pajamas. When I stay in Spain, then I make a really big brunch for my in-laws on Christmas.

  • Good morning! I'm heading back to the gym today after months off and am really crossing my fingers I can do something. Anything! My physio approved 'light' working out so I'm going to check out the elliptical.

QODT: I grew up in a Jewish household so no traditions but we've adapted some of DH's. We always open 1 gift on Xmas eve (in his house, the family opens a gift after midnight mass but we skip that part!). We decorate the house the weekend after Thanksgiving and it involves watching Elf (no judging!) and mulled wine. We always buy an ornament on our trips so it's fun to reminisce about our trips together!

  • Afternoon ladies :) I think today will be an interesting one as DD had her 3rd round of shots this morning and isn't quite herself now, we'll see how the rest of the day goes.

QOTD: We don't have many traditions. We do the 24th at DH's parents then on the 25th everyone (the two families and a friend) comes to either our house of my parents house for lunch with a big turkey, traditional English fixings plus Yorkshire puds (DH demands them each year). Then after lunch we sit down and Bowl on the Wii. It's something that we can all do, no-matter the age or language.

This year I think I'm going to try and get people out for a walk too.
