Interesting bit about Sandusky's attorney
Re: Interesting bit about Sandusky's attorney
Here's my thing with the attorney. It's just STUPID.
Like, so the attorney's actions were legal (although I am presuming there would be some ethical violations but since it was a while ago I guess not) but still. He was a man in his 40s who impregnanted his 16 year old client. that just seems sketchy and gross and inappropriate and everything else.
If you are on trial for child molestation, why on earth would you pick this lawyer with this past?? Even though his actions were legal, its just going to look bad. Don't be dumb. Get an attorney who has not slept with a 16 year old client. I promise, there are lots of them out there.
And yeah, I think the attorney is dumb anyway. He let him give an interview?? H thinks he (the attorney) is trying to taint the jury pool - how impartial can you be if you have heard that interview?
As sad as it is, Amendola is one of the biggest defense attorneys in State College/Centre County.
I used to work at the PSU student newspaper, and when I heard Amendola's name, I was like "wow...there's a name I haven't heard in a long time." He was in our paper all the time.

That just makes Sandusky and Amendola look even dumber - this whole thing is SOOOO much bigger than State College/PSU, and yet he thinks being a heavy hitter in that community is going to do him much good - this has become a national issue and he needs a national attorney and someone who can handle the level of scrutiny. A good lawyer would recognize that situation and refer Sandusky to someone else.
I was thinking this as well.
