Winter Cottage/Cabin
Does anyone know of a semi secluded winter cabin or cottage that can be rented out? My husband and I are in need of a getaway, however the first time we can do it is in February. I would like to book a place for his Christmas gift.
I am looking for a relatively inexpensive place. We live in the Twin Cities. We are willing to travel an hour to 2 hours away.
I'm thinking sitting by a roaring fire drinking hot chocolate, while the snow falls outside the window...maybe a deer runs by...

I found it online and I plan on making a trip there sometime soon!
I believe that some of the rooms at Superior Shores in Two Harbors (just past Duluth) have fireplaces in them.
Or you could try some of the resorts in the Brainerd area: Maddens, Craguns, Grandview, etc I would think you should be able to get reasonable rates in the winter.
You could also try vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owners) where people rent out their lake/vacation homes....
A family friend has a cabin on Lake Mille Lacs that is available for rent. Here is where you can go to rent it if you're interested.
