I have started watching Dexter and I can't seem to watch it at night

I'm home on a medical disability for a few months so I got Showtime since I heard so many people talk about the show and they have all teh episodes on it right now.  I got a special of $5 a month.  You can't beat that deal.

I like the show but when I can't sleep at night I have tried to watch it and it freaks me out.

No real point to this post I guess.  Sorry!

  • haha It's never really freaked me out. Keep on watching. You'll be glad you did.

Are you starting with the first season?

  • First season.  I'm on episode 7.  After I watch one then I have to put on a comedy.  I'm sure I will get sucked in and then I will watch them at night.

  • This show has never freaked me out oddly enough. I hate scary things but to me this show is not scary at all. It's the best show on TV...well we can hope it stays that way.

  • haha. yeah, when we first started watching it we were catching up so watching as many episodes in one night as we could. i was having dreams about the ice truck killer and the dead body parts!

i think b/c of dexter and law & order: svu i am slightly parnoid. as in, i am watching my back all the time. lol

  • This first couple of episodes freaked me out, but it was more of the gore and brutality rather than the storyline, so I adapted quickly. I definitely recommend sticking with it! It is one of the best shows out there.

  • Ha, probably TMI, but I've told DH that he needs to budget time for a "palate cleanser" after Dexter if he wants to fool around afterwards.  Especially in the season involving the serial rapist/torturer.  SO not in the mood after those episodes!
