Or funny names:
MIL's family (she has two brothers and a sister) are (in age order):
Lonnie Lee
Donnie Ray
Josephine Alene (goes by Alene)
Ollie Mae
So in my head, they are Lonnie, Donnie, Alene and Ollie. They must really have not wanted that first born girl-her name is so different than everyone else!
Anyone else have any?
Re: Strange family names...
Dickey Trickey
Also, every girl she named ends in "ah".
Lisa, Linda, Rita, Anita ...
Please tell me he has a good sense of humor and people call him this!

One of my great-grandmothers was named Effie. Oddly enough, none of us knew this until after she died, since she always went by her middle name--Ada.
I also have a grandma named Arlene, which I don't think you hear very often.
I have a cousin named Ginifer. Supposed to be like Jennifer, but it's pronounced Jin-ifer, just like it looks. She was often called Gini for short, which I've seen elsewhere as Ginny, but I've never met another Ginifer. Poor kid always had the spelling of her name butchered on everything.

We have a Charlie Brown in my family. He's a 2nd cousin.
I'm trying to think if we have any really odd ones. I kind of love that my grandma's name is Glenna Jewel. My grandpa that's married to her is a Ray J. There's a lot of singers in their names.
I think its actually kinda pretty, but my Grandma and her sisters were in the gemstone family: Jewel, Pearl, and Opal.
There are also semi-distant cousins (three girls) named after alcoholic beverages: Daquiri, Tequila and Chablis.
My grandfather was Richard Johnson, but went by *** Johnson. And his father's name was Harry Johnson.
And I know I've mentioned my MIL and her sibs here before: Judy, Juli, Jackie, Jim, Jeri, John, and Janus.
I need to know if this rhymes with anus.

Like I mentioned in post below: Betty May Sweat--- we also have a Kenny Sweat and a Richard (D!ck) Sweat.
I have third cousins named Ginny (pronounced Guinea), who was married to Shorty and had a son named Jumbo. Ginny remarried after Grandpa shot and killed Shorty, her new husbands name was Jim Bo.
Not so much strange names, but weird circumastances... My grandma and her sister both married men named Adolf. The same grandma's third marriage was to a man named Arthur (who at the time was her ex brother-in-law)... and Arthur is also the name of her actual Brother. So my mom had two Uncle Arts... and one was her step dad. Try to keep that straight....
Like dill, I also have a Geneva in my family-- my great grandmother and the first woman in our family to attend college. I secretly love the name... it may make an appearance in the future, possibly as a middle name.
Now on to the weird: My mom's cousins must know Cass' family because they are Ronnie, Donnie, Bonnie and Lonnie (no kidding.)
Some others: Micki (f), Jimmie (f), Harlene, Will Smith and Mark McGrath, Connard... I know there are more out there.
My great grandpa's name (mom's dad's dad) was Freedom.
My dad's cousins (all siblings) are Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. Yes, the 4 gospels. They have a sister, Catherine, as well, but seriously? I wonder if they were hoping to go for all 12 apostles, lol!
I just came in to post that one of my grandmother's sisters was named Effie. Her twin sister's name was Evie. Evie and Effie. I love it.
