So, I have people asking me what I want for Christmas and I really have no idea what to tell them. I don't really want anything. I don't want "stuff" because my house is small and we have more than enough stuff. I have a thing on mygiftlist but I can't think of anything else. Is anyone else in this situation or am I really that much weirder than everyone else?
Re: Figuring out gifts
Cash monies = ALWAYS a good idea. So is gift cards? I have the opposite problem as you Crabby, I can always think of things I need.
I'm with ya, Crabby. The only things I really need right now are boring, practical and non-gift things, like bras, a haircut and a dental cleaning - or big house type things like a loveseat and an entertainment center.
I'm with you. There are things that I could use (new bras, new jeans, new boots, etc) but they aren't things that I want someone else to buy for me.
My parents don't believe in cash or gift cards. I've even tried to tell them exactly what I want, and they say that takes the fun out of gift shopping too.
I really don't want people to buy things for me.
But you can not ask directly cash from them so it is better to ask them to give you the gift cards.....
Really? So I've been doing it wrong all these years? Well, shiit.
If you can ask for gift cards, you can ask for cash.
Broc does it right. We should all take a lesson from her.
