Counter Offers: Will we get this???
I want this house! I want to know if we are taking proper actions. The home has no apparent damages but it is very outdated. Entire house needs remodeling, so it's hard for me to compare to recent similar sales, which tend to be more updated in this area.
- Home listed for $760k, seems highly overpriced considering outdatedness inside
- On market 45 days, no other offers
- Highly desireable location, great layout
- We take a shot and offer $625k thinking there's probably little chance
- They counteroffer $670k and we are in shock they dropped so much so fast yay!
- We counter $645k (and waiting...)
What do you guys think our chances are? The waiting is killing me!

Considering they dropped $100k you might have a very good chance at it. They may counter back at the same price in which case you will have to decide if it is worth it to you or not.
