Change of plans: is this dress good enough?
The weather has put a slight damper on my original dress plans for a wedding this weekend. Is this ensemble good enough?
This dress, but in black

maybe sheer black hose, if it's really cold out?
And some sort of necklace.
Re: Change of plans: is this dress good enough?
Or do I stick with the original plan:
This dress, but in black
I love that dress! So adorable. Where is it from?
(Obviously I approve...)
Thanks! I got it at the Ted Baker store.
Also, I responded before I saw your second option which would lead me to ask - what is the dress code for the wedding? The second dress (green one but in black) seems a little fancier from the picture so that would skew my response, but I think the first outfit is super cute if you think it fits with whatever the attire guidelines are.
My guess is nothing more than cocktail attire. It's definitely not black tie. I'm fairly confident that either dress will work.
I'm just starting to rethink my original decision (green one but in black) bc it's going to be in the upper 30's/lower 40's this weekend and I hate being cold.
yeah, does that make me a weenie? I know we're going to be inside and I can bring a wrap, but I still feel cold thinking about wearing a sleeveless dress.
I'd wear whatever you're most comfortable in. Besides us Nesties, no one will know you were debating between two outfits, so they'll just know you look nice. Also, a huge plus with the Ted Baker dress (at least that I see) is it appears to be a little more fluid, i.e. maybe more comfortable to wear if you're going to eat a lot (I'm a sucker for wedding cake so I factor these decisions in) and super easy to move around and dance in. I love it.
Cold?!? ummm what?! lol I think you need to re-think what cold is. JK! It's been around 32ish here the last few days.

I love the first dress, I feel like it's more special than the second dress, so I vote for it regardless
. I do love both though.
But I wouldn't do sheer tights, I'd just go bare-legged and bring a coat.
this exactly.
