OMG best friend has to change her wedding date
One of my very best friends started planning her wedding and found a venue she adores (a local minor league ball park). She contacted them over 6 months ago and picked her date from what they had available. She picked a date at the end of July 2012.
Fast Forward to last night I get a fb message from her:
You were working tonight so I couldn't call you but we have to change the wedding date 
You won't even believe it. So _______ gives us the date of the __th without knowing the baseball schedule yet!! So she calls me today
and tells me that her boss called her to tell the schedule came out
yesterday and there is a game that day!! and the story they gave me was
that there wasn't a game that day last season so they assumed there
wouldn't be one that date next season, what kind of bs is that, that
isn't how baseball schedules work! After we have finally booked
everything and sent save the dates, we now have change it all, I can't
believe it. She is emailing me the dates that are available on thursday
morning. I don't know why when we asked for that date why they didn't
just say we can tentatively give you the date until the schedule comes
out, what idiots! Hopefully I'll know more by Saturday. Hope you had a
good night at work.

Holy CRAP- can you even imagine? My response was not nearly so nice as hers but I did say they darn well better be paying for the CHANGE the date cards and any other costs associated with changing dates.

Wow! That would suck!
We weren't allowed to pick our date until the schedule for 2008 came out in October/November of 2007. That is ridiculous that the coordinator she spoke with didn't consider this.
Even after we picked our date it was made VERY clear to us that the MLB (I understand this is minor league, but still) has the right of way, and if they change the date or play a make-up game on that day we were sh*t out of luck.
Considering it doesn't sound like the coordinator went through any of this with them I would 100% expect for them to come through and pay for "change the date" cards, cut them a deal, and deeply appologize.

She texted me today to ask is such and such a day was ok. I told her, please don't worry about me. You pick a date and I will be there no matter what!
She is actually taking it really well but said she is kinda still in shock. She said if she actually sat down and thought about it she would cry.
