Fundraising (urgh!!)

We are doing a couple of fundraisers at high school basketball games coming up prior to Christmas.  We will do a basic baked sale but am looking for other ways to spice it up! Does anyone have ideas? I have heard of a cookie walk or cake walk but any other options out there? TIA

Re: Fundraising (urgh!!)

  • We used to sell raffle tickets during the BB games in HS and the winning ticket would 'split the pot' with the school. I think we sold them for a dollar a piece?

What about a raffle to shoot a half court shot?  Sell tickets and who's ever ticket is drawn gets to shoot.  Chances are no one would make it, but if they did you could do a split the pot type of thing for that too, or someother prize.

Our big fundraiser that we would do for DECA was to sell cookies every day in the passing periods of classes, 3/$1 Otis Spunkmeier.  That was a huge hit!  Maybe something like that for the bake sale?

  • Another group already signed up for the 50/50 (we did those during the football games) and I had thought of doing the half-court shot (used to do it about 5 years ago and it was a pretty good hit) with the winner getting a hundred dollar giftcard to Walmart or Target and you don't buy the giftcard unless you absolutely have to LOL :)

Selling cookies during school hours is not allowed because we are a "Healthy School" but that used to be an awesome fundraiser as well.
  • What is the fundraiser for?

What if the coaches agree to if you raise "x" amount, they shave their heads?

If you raise "x" amount, team captain shave their heads?

Have the coaches grown beards until end of fundraiser then have buckets and whoever has the most money each week has to keep their beard but who has the least is allowed to shave.

A version of Bingo game, people can buy a card and then throughout the game have the cheerleaders hold up a sign for the new bingo number, whoever gets Bingo first wins a prize.

Another one along with Bingo that DH wants to do is musical bingo.  When a song is played, you mark it off and then who ever gets bingo wins.

What about Picture with a player?

  • Holiday Boutique! Those are really popular right now.  There are several people on this board Im sure would help me included.
