Some random pediatrician questions for you all...
1. Does anyone know if CHOP of Haverford has walk in sick hours?
2. Has anyone used Advocare in Broomall?
3. Thoughts on either of these offices?
4. Did you meet with a pediatrician before having the baby? Did you call the office to let them know you wanted to use them?

Re: Pediatrician Questions
I go to CHOP Haverford and am really happy with the practice. I do not know if they have walk-in sick hours, thankfully I have not had to go for anything other than well visits and flu shots
We moved last year, so they were not our original pediatrician. Shortly after we moved was DD's 1st birthday, so I called to make an appt, told them we were new and asked what I needed to do. I just had to get their records sent from our old pedi.
Just call them and ask, everyone is super helpful and I really like all the docs. One doc picked up on something unusual with DD and immediately referred us to a specialist. Totally nerve-wracking, but I liked how proactive they were

I use CHOP in Flourtown and I don't think they have sick walk ins but I have had to bring Tommy in when he was sick and they have always gotten me in the same day. They also have a 24 line that goes to a nurse so even in the middle of the night you can talk to someone.
I didn't interview my ped, my friend referred them and I liked the hours so I decided to give them a shot. Thankfully, I really like them.
We go to Advocare in Broomall. I love all the Doctors there. One and only thing I hate about the office, is that it almost impossible to get a night time appointment. If we were home with the baby during the day iy would be no issue. But we both work fulltime jobs and it's very hard to get there before like 5. Dr. Feinmann is my fav. pedi there. He's so nice.
That also wasn't our original pediatrician -- we just moved to the area in June -- but we've been there at least 4-5 times so far for sick visits!
