Non-crap stocking stuffers
Any good ideas here for a 3-year old? I also need to fill (somewhat) the newb's stocking, too, so Jack doesn't think he's Santa's fave or something.
Anyway, what can I put in Jack's stocking that won't be thrown away in like a month? And if you have any ideas for a newborn's stocking, that would be great, too.

nb-rattles, books that you don't have, spoons for when he starts eating, just think of things you'll be needing shortly after xmas or as he starts developing. Socks.
Jack-some small tractors, race cars, a book, soap.
So far I have a bag of jelly beans and the DVD Horton Hears a Who from the $5 bin at WalMart. I may do some crafty stuff too.
We usually get her one gift, but I've been buying early this year, then I forget what I have. I found the stash today, and E is getting a ton of stuff for Christmas, oops!
Um yeah totally guilty of that this year. I've been buying off the clearance rack every here and there and wow I think I got carried away. haha
Playdough and/or accessories, flash cards, anything small with wheels, jump rope (while I know he cant "use" it my boys love them), bubbles, coloring book, new toothbrush
nb - last year we did a bib, baby toys, stuffed animal, puffs b/c it was what we were starting
K was 3 last year and she didn't notice or care what H got it was all about her and the new presents. I just put some stuff in H's just so it looked like there was some stuff in there. hth

New dvds- Cars 2, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Winnie the Pooh are all out/ coming out on dvd (or any others you want, may not have for him). A bunch of the stores have bins of inexpensive dvds.
This isn't a stocking stuff, but I thought of Jack when I saw it.
Is it bad that I don't do stocking stuffers? Will my kids grow up scarred?
I'm sure I'll start it up in a few years, most likely.
