@ Milestones

Call me an overachiever. But...

16 weeks done. 24ish to go.
Registered for one day express birthing class.
Preregistered at the hospital.

Holy hell. I better really be growing a baby in there. (Obviously, it still feels far from real for me.)

  • Yup, 100%! No finding out for us. I made that super clear to DH before we were even TTC.

  • Hey!  When is your birthing class?  If it's when I'm working, you'll have to stop and say hi!
Nursing school is absolutely the single hardest thing I have ever done in my life!!! But when you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on!

.....and it can't come quickly enough!!!!
  • oh wow! You're really getting things done ahead of time. We didn't do all that stuff until just recently! Good for you!

We're doing the one day express in March. If you are around, I'm obviously going to say hi! You are one of the "perks" of us choosing MMC, Skye!

I wanted to make sure that we got signed up for the class before it filled up. And I also had to make sure I got it on to DH's calendar ASAP so his boss knows that he has to be home that weekend.

  • Ok, Susie, you know you can't speed up gestation, right?! 'Cause if it was up to you, I think you'd try to give birth to a full term baby at 25 weeks! Wink

I think it will take me until week 40 just to finally come to terms with the fact that I'm pregnant in the first place! I honestly just don't feel like I am at all. It still feels very surreal. I think its because, as of a year ago, my DH was saying absolutely not to kids and was completely against the idea. So I got used to it not happening. Now that it is happening, I'm still completely shocked and it doesn't feel real.

  • It probably wont for a while, either. I don't think I started to feel pregnant until my shower, which was 34 weeks? Then, after having DD, I would look down at my belly and back at her and go, "noooo." It's definitely a surreal feeling :)

I'll be 36 weeks on Tuesday and I still feel like it's surreal. Not so much the pregnancy part at this point (that feels VERY real on some days. LOL) It's the fact that

a.) I'm going to go through the labor and delivery process and have a baby come out of THERE (which I just cant wrap my head around even though I know how it all works) and

b.) The fact that we will have a baby living with us and not just any baby, OUR baby. so so surreal!!

YUP! Neither my family nor DH's are all that keen on small babies, so the idea of 8+ pounds come out of THERE.... yeah, I'm not even going to think about it. Add that to the fact that my family has huge heads and broad shoulders and both our families have some tall folks in them.... *sigh*

uh yeah....dh and I are both pretty tall and DH is a big guy with huge friggen shoulders. Eek!!!

I might be getting the crib within the next month if I wind up in Massachusetts in meet with a client. And I am hoping DH will paint the baby's room this weekend since it's going to be nice enough he could leave the windows open. I can't believe that I'm less than 4 weeks away from the half way point, so if the rest of this pregnancy goes this fast, I'll have a newborn in my arms any time now! LOL!

I have already given birth to a 9lb baby with a huge head and am still in denial about going through it again! I'm just hoping little miss will be a peanut compared to her big bro (yeah right!)

  • So exciting! It does fly by. I can't belive my little nugget is 8 weeks old. Where does the time go?! I never really felt pregnant either- I felt better than I did before I was pregnant. So weird.

Congrats on getting all those things accomplished. I signed up for a class super late and finally mailed in my pre-registration when I got threatened from my OB. Heck, daycare just got finalized last week. Procrastination is my middle name.

  • Keep it up (and keep posting the big things)! I may use your schedule to help me stay on top of things!

I still don't believe I'm pregnant lol. Denial makes the pregnancy go by fast!!
