My baby sprinkle or shower or what-have-you is Saturday and I have nothing to wear. It's going to be fairly small, around 20 people I think and not all that dressy. The problem is that my maternity clothes are either appropriate for teaching (kind of stuffy looking?) or lounging- no middle ground. I'm thinking about wearing my fave jeans with cute flats and then finding a new cute shirt that I can wear for situations like going out to dinner, shopping, etc.
I have a shirt like this, but in black:

And I was thinking of getting a fun color lace tank to wear under... I have a few already so I know that they will fit. They're not maternity but they're long and stretchy. Maybe this red color so that it would be good for the holidays too:

And then I was thinking about wearing a stretchy belt over the tank/cardiwrap/top of the baby bump. Would that work or is that not how those work?

Re: Fashion help, please!
Boo. B/c the tanks aren't maternity they don't look very "bump-ish"- like they skim over the bump instead of showing it off, if that makes sense. So, I thought the belt would fix that problem.

Do you have a skinnier belt? I think I would like it better if the belt wasn't so thick, like this one:
I don't actually have the belt (I don't own a belt... is that weird?) so I can look for a skinnier one! I just liked that that one was called "stretch belt" so I thought it may last awhile.
That's a cute pic, btw. Love the idea.

Woah, the girl in that pic is married to a guy from my hometown. When I did a double-take, I totally saw their last name. Where on earth did you get this pic? Do you know them?
And, I agree, skinnier belt :-)

Ha! That is so funny. Her sister-in-law was one of my good friends in high school.
