What are your Thanksgiving plans? Do you go to his family, your family, or split? We did an early Thanksgiving with the in-laws last weekend (long drama story there). I have to work on Thanksgiving so I won't be able to go home to see my family.
Favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Pecan pie
Will you watch the T-Day football game? What is your favorite football team? I have to sleep that day to work that night, but I am hoping to catch some of the University of Texas vs Texas A&M game. (I'm a longhorn, H is an aggie) This is probably the last year they'll play each other since A&M is leaving the Big 12 conference.
Do you celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah? Where will you spend it this year? We celebrate Christmas. Due to my work schedule, we will spend Christmas day with my in-laws then spend New Year's weekend with my family back home.
What's on your holiday wish list? Gift cards mainly. Nothing too exciting. Though we may get a Kindle Fire. We shall see...
Favorite type of cookie? Cake batter cookies (I make them) they are too yummy! The nice thing is that you can use any flavor of cake mix that you want.
What are you getting your H? No idea yet.What are your Thanksgiving plans? Do you go to his family, your family, or split? We alternate, so this year we're with my IL's. MIL is throwing Thanksgiving at her place. My BILs and their S/Os will be there, as well as H's aunt and two little cousins, who are adorable.
Favorite Thanksgiving dessert? Lemon meringue pie.
Will you watch the T-Day football game? What is your favorite football team?We will probably watch it this year. Patriots all the way! Although they're not playing on T-Day.
Do you celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah? Where will you spend it this year? Christmas. We're spending it with my family this year. My grandparents and uncle are coming up for Christmas from Florida for the first time in years, I am so excited.
What's on your holiday wish list? A new winter coat, slippers, tons of books, some Vera Bradley.
Favorite type of cookie? My mom's Chocolate Dreams -- they're made with chocolate, coconut, and oats. They're delicious.
What are you getting your H? (I have no clue yet and I need ideas!) I really want to get him an LED staff for fire spinning, but we'll see if I can afford it come Christmas.Books read in 2012: 21/50
What are your Thanksgiving plans? Do you go to his family, your family, or split? We'll probably visit all of our families. And feel cranky at the end of the day.

Do you celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah? Where will you spend it this year? Christmas. This year will be special. My lil sis and her family are moving to Japan early next year, so they will be coming to visit for 3 weeks over Christmas and New Year's (staying at my mom's). I can't wait. She has three adorable kids I don't get to see often enough. So we'll spend most of our time with my side this year.
What's on your holiday wish list? Hmmm... some cute leather boots. I also love it when Dh gives me gift certificates for massages and facials.
Favorite type of cookie? They are like this Swedish almond bar my mom makes. Sadly, they are almost impossible to replicate GF, so I haven't enjoyed these for years.
What are you getting your H? (I have no clue yet and I need ideas!): Gosh... good question. I am not sure yet either. He is usually easy to shop for, though. Maybe I will get him something house-related. He is pumped about making our new house "ours."What are your Thanksgiving plans? Do you go to his family, your family, or split? I have no idea what our plans are yet. DH wants to stay at home and just have a nice dinner with the two of us. But I'm getting kind of bored with sitting at home every night. So, we'll probably end up at his grandma's or at my sister's (my parents are going out of town for Thanksigiving).

Do you celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah? Where will you spend it this year? We celebrate Christmas and I'm excited because we're actually decorating this year! We didn't do it last year because we were just so busy. We're hosting my immediate family on Christmas eve. Then Christmas day, I think we'll be spending that with my extended family. Christmas night, we'll probably head over to MIL and SFIL's.
What's on your holiday wish list? A bodybugg, some sewing supplies and a new camera.
Favorite type of cookie? I prefer plain old chocolate chip cookies
What are you getting your H? It's so hard to buy for him. I'm definitely getting him a bunch of pajama pants and some other clothes. I'm thinking of surprising him with a shop vac (such a fun surprise, right?). And he also wants a new jack for the garage, but if I decide to get him that, he'll be ordering it himself so that he gets what he wants.
What are your Thanksgiving plans? Do you go to his family, your family, or split? TG is his mom's parents. We do an extended family Christmas thing with my side the first weekend in December, and my parents don't really do TG because all the kids end up with their ILs.

Do you celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah? Where will you spend it this year? Christmas... we'll do Christmas breakfast at my parents' house (and spend Eve there too), then do presents with my folks, then head to his mom's house for lunch.
What's on your holiday wish list? It's a bunch of random things. I told DH I want a Silhouette, and then I want Amazon GCs (for Kindle books), a Clarisonic, some random kitchen gadgets, Coach Poppy Flower perfume, and several other odds & ends. It's a long list, but my family exchanges lists so it's not like I expect all of those things - they're just ideas to make shopping easier

What are you getting your H? (I have no clue yet and I need ideas!) I was going to get him a tablet, but he got me one for our anniversary. So now, Idk... possibly a scope for the gun I got him for our anniv, but I'm not sure.

This is one of the best parts of ILs who live far far away... there is no conflict over which family gets which holidays, just how often we have to meet my family! This year we've been pressured into doing Thanksgiving with my family.

Will you watch the T-Day football game? What is your favorite football team? I like football alright, and I'm going to the Cal game tomorrow, but Thanksgiving will be a busy day and I don't go out of my way for football. And DH finds it mystifying.
Do you celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah? Where will you spend it this year? Christmas, which again has to be with my family. We are thinking of having a party at home on Christmas Eve. We are getting a tree for the first time now that we have space. It will be DH's first tree ever!
What's on your holiday wish list? There's an art book I really want and a number of things from Williams Sonoma. DH is a good gift giver, so I know I'll get something I really like.
Favorite type of cookie? The Scandinavian/Central European ginger/alcohol based cookies, like pfeffernuse and pepparkakor. I have no idea if I came close with the spelling on either of those...
What are you getting your H? (I have no clue yet and I need ideas!) It's so difficult. He buys everything he likes right away and he's super picky about most things! Maybe vinyl for his music collection.Totally agree Angie! It must be a Texas thing. I hate it when people pronounce it "Pee-can". Makes me think of a port-o-potty. Haha!
What are your Thanksgiving plans? Do you go to his family, your family, or split? We usually go to Florida to visit my mom and her side of the family, but we made a trip earlier this year so we are staying home. We go to Matt's grandparents house on Thanksgiving Day (it's only a 5 minute drive from our house!) and my dad's house (1 hour drive) the day after once Matt is off work.

Do you celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah? Where will you spend it this year? Christmas. We will spend it at home and probably visit my dad for a few hours. My mom said she might come visit us but I'm not sure if/when yet.
What's on your holiday wish list? Actually, I don't really want anything this year. We are saving up for a sectional (Karlstad from Ikea) and I hope we can buy it before the special on sofas runs out on December 20. I just want that and a few other things to dress up the living room like some art work, lamps, and throw pillows - but I don't have to get those on Christmas morning!

What are you getting your H? The sectional is a joint gift so he isn't getting much except for a few stocking stuffers. Christmas - this year at his parents (Eve at my parents). I like to pretend we celebrate Hanukkah also since my moms side is Jewish (she is Catholic now though)

We went to his aunt's for actual Thanksgiving... I went home Friday-Sunday to visit friends that were all home (central WI), and he stayed here to hang out with some of the guys.

We're going home to WI for Christmas. Eve with my mom, Day with my dad. We'll do Christmas with his family when we get back on the 27th (Thanksgiving is the bigger holiday to them anyway.)
What's on your holiday wish list? Lots of practical stuff- oven mitts and stuff like that, frames, Home Depot gift cards (we want to finish the garage)
