For those of you that have cricuts, do you like them? I'm trying to decide whether or not to put it on my Christmas list. What have you made with it so far? (or what do you want to make with it?)
What about a Silhouette?

Wendy, look at this article about the Silhouette.

I have a cricut (the smaller one). I use it to make scrapbooking embellishments mostly. I also helped a friend make some wall art for her baby's room.
I really want the larger one, but can't justify the expense right now, and truthfully, most of what I do can be done on the small one.

2012 Reading Challenge
I have both a Cricut and a Silhouette. I recommend a Silhouette. It's much more cost effective than buying the carts for the Cricut. On top of that the Silhouette cuts much better and more precise than the Cricut. To tell you the truth, since I bought the Silhouette I have only used my Cricut two times.
I use a third party software called Make the Cut with both the Silhouette and Cricut. I don't ever have to buy images/files to cut if I don't want to, I can buy them cheap, or I can make them myself. My blog has a lot of the projects I make (link below "Crafty Me"). Pretty much all the die cuts are made using the Silhouette and the older posted projects are made using the Cricut. Again, I don't buy carts. I have one and have never used it. I also do print and cut with the Silhouette. If you find the birthday card with an hot air balloon on it that is a print and cut image.
I craft ALL THE TIME with my machines so I am pretty knowledgeable on them so if you have any questions ask away. Also, I am on a design team (I design projects using their files to help inspire others) for a company that makes SVGs, the die cut embellishment files I use with my software...similar to what you find on a Cricut cart (but WAY cheaper). The site is SVG Attic so you can get an idea of what you can cut/make. www.svgattic.com
