1. During what years were you in high school? - 1998-2000. I graduated early.
2. What bands/musicians were your favorites? - I was into boy bands, 'N Sync and BSB, but I was also really into Korn, Limp Bizkit, NIN, Tool.
3. What were your favorite TV shows? - TRL of course!
4. What was your style like back then? What kind of clothes did you wear? - I was bigger than the other girls, just like I am now. I wore a lot of baggy jeans (guy's carpenter jeans were my fave) with tank tops and a leather jacket. I usually wore flip flops or sketchers.
5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? - I am, but not close.
6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? - Totes a 10. LOL

5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? Most of my friends moved away (including me), so some of us keep up on Facebook. I don't talk to any by phone or anything though.
6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? I guess it depends on your definition of awesome. Academically, a 10. Socially among my group of friends, an 8. Socially on a HS stereotype scale, probably a 2.

4. What was your style like back then? What kind of clothes did you wear? Jeans an a tshirt or tank top with the occassional flannel, depending on the weather.
5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? my bestest best friend? Sadly no. But we had a big group. Of them, I am close with 2 of them these days.
6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? 3 -- I was in band and theater guild, I watched anime and played video games. Definitely not teh awesome that most high schoolers look for

4. What was your style like back then? What kind of clothes did you wear? I wore ripped jeans a hoodies like a damn uniform ETA: and Van's, had to have the Van's.

4. What was your style like back then? What kind of clothes did you wear? I was Britney Spears style preppy. I spent most of HS in my cheerleading uniform. When I wasn't in that I was in my field hockey polo and plaid skirt. On my off days I wore jeans and whatever scandalous v neck I could get away with.

6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? I was not awesome, like at all. I look back on myself in HS as if I was "grossy Josie". I would give me a 2...and thats mostly because its makes me sad to give myself a 1.Damn, some of you ladies are just making me feel old!

2. What bands/musicians were your favorites? I was definitely into DMB a lot. Can't forget Rusted Root, too! But this was also the time that I discovered hip hop, and definitely was into BIG, Puff Daddy, Mase, etc. My music tastes have always been random.
3. What were your favorite TV shows? Gosh, no clue. Definitely Friends. I can't remember what else. Maybe Dawson's Creek a little.
4. What was your style like back then? What kind of clothes did you wear? I was more on the preppy side, JCrew, Gap, etc, but I also had my hip-hop thug phase. Either way, I'll have you know that I was voted Best Dressed Girl senior year (although my sense of style has been on a downslide ever since)
5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? Absolutely. I know it is really rare, but most of my best girlfriends today were my girlfriends growing up and in high school. I even moved away from my hometown, but the ties remain strong.
6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? Back then I definitley thought I was a 10, but looking back, I'm a bit more humble.

5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? Yes and no. I was very close with a small group of friends who are now all over the country so we don't get together anymore, but stay in touch via FB. But Melissa is still my BF since elementary school.

2. What bands/musicians were your favorites? I had very eclectic music style, even then. I remember lots of DMB, Barenaked Ladies, No Doubt, and lots of hip hop/rap like Nelly, 50 cent, BIG, Puff Daddy. Defeinitely no "boy bands"

4. What was your style like back then? What kind of clothes did you wear? I spent at least 60 of my HS time in a volleyball uniform. A good other 30% in my HS uniform (white polo, navy skirt). Weekends I was a very tshirt and jeans kind fo girl (again, when not in a volleyball uniform)
5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? my best friend is still the same. A lot of the rest of our group I'm still a little in touch with on FB, but not super close like we used to be.
6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? Well, clearly I was a 10, just like I am now, duh. But really probably at least a 7-8. I had a ton of friends, played sports, was on Student Council, president of various clubs and such over the years, had a solid 4.0. I wasn't one of the snobby "cool kids" but was pretty well liked by friends and teachers.

2. What bands/musicians were your favorites? I always listened to what was on the radio...hip hop, pop, rap, oldies, country. I've never been super choosy or all that interested in cultivating my music preferences. I also listened to a lot of showtunes

I would say pretty similiar to what it is now which is a style I've coined to be casual glam; jeans with nice tops and nice shoes, always accessorized, almost always with makeup on and hair done when I was going out. If I was staying home or going to a dance/show rehearsal I was in sweats. I wore a unifrom for school, hello Catholic school girl fantasy (side note: when Jay and I started dated he always used to come pick me up from school, he later told me it was because he wanted to see me in my uniform because otherwise I never wore it in front of him...boys

5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? I'm very close to 2 of my best girlfriends from high school and one was my best friend from grammar school and there are a couple others who I still keep up with on FB and chat with a couple times a year. I married my best guy friend

6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? 10. I was well-liked and floated from group to group pretty well, but also got straight As and was in the marching band (colorguard) so that knocked me down a few notches and kept my head from exploding.

The only one that still lives in MA is battling demons I can't begin to compete with. There is one friend that I am still super close with, but she also lives out of state.

2. What bands/musicians were your favorites?My music hasn't changed much since I was little. I grew up listening to my parents' music, so mostly classic rock/oldies. In popular music, I liked, N*SYNC, BSB, Christina Aguilera.
3. What were your favorite TV shows? Wow....um....Buffy the Vampire Slayer is really the only one I can remember. I didn't watch a lot of TV in high school. Mostly movies.
4. What was your style like back then? What kind of clothes did you wear? Total nerd. Didn't have the money for the "cool" stuff, not so poor that I couldn't afford decent clothes. I think I shopped mostly at Aeropostle and American Eagle.
5. Are you still friends with your best friends from then? Yes. But most of them are long distance and I only see them a few times a year.
6. How awesome were you back then, on a scale from 1-10? a solid 7. I was a band geek, but also in the Honors Society, and I had friends in all of the school cliques, so I wasn't a total dweeb either.

My go to outfit was a pairs of blue flared vintage cords and My childhood Mickey Mouse shirt from when I was 12 which I wore as a tight 'baby tee'. Blehhhh
