I recognize the one they occasionally put on Nick Jr, but I can't think of the name... something with birds???
Hisw son Ziggy Marley has a children's CD out and sometimes they play songs from it on Kids Place Live.

My mother never has apparently!
Last night she says "what song is this" - I said "no woman no cry." She says 'I've never heard it before." I said "mom its a bob marley song." "Who?"
I can see maybe not having heard his songs, but having never even heard his NAME?? My father never has either.
I answered yes. I'm pretty sure my dad would also say yes, my mom- I don't know. My 4 year old also knows who Bob Marley is thanks to Nick Jr. But we have introduced her to other songs since she loves "Three Little Birds" so much.

Yep, exactly what I was thinking.

This would probably be my mom's response as well. I would estimate that she has very little knowledge of popular music made after 1966.
I'm sure I would have known who he was anyway, but the guy I had a crush on all through high school was a huge Bob Marley fan.
My Dad would definitely know him, and would probably be able to name a song or two. He'd have known more years ago - his memory just isn't what it used to be.
My Mom *might* recognize the name, but that's a stretch. She definitely wouldn't be able to name songs.
I am 100% sure that my mom would be able to name and/or sing several bob marley songs off the top of her head. She's not a fair test though since she's youngish to have kids my age and acts even younger than she is.
My IL's...that's another story. I'll have to quiz them next time I see them because I'm really curious now.
