Last night was fairly low key. Derek and I took all of our empties back to the Beer Store last night, and came out with $31.20 in returns! Woo! (and sad) It's amazing how much space empty alcohol containers were taking up in the basement.
Then I successfully navigated the stretch between our house and my parents place without hitting any deer. I may have been going a few km below the speed limit, and had my high beams on whenever possible, and MAY have nearly slammed on the brakes when a large piece of grass moved, but I made it!
Tonight Tim and another one of the guys are coming over to hook all of the electrical for the kitchen up to the panel, tomorrow is project day and then Sunday I'm having brunch with ringy and kaesha! All in all, it sounds like an awesome weekend.
What does everyone else have on the go this weekend?
Re: Happy Friday!
Good morning everyone! I'm being slow in getting ready this morning, but I really need to get a move on. B went to work super early, so I have to take care of all the pets this AM. That's usually his job.
This weekend should be fairly low key. We're dog sitting and getting ready for our upcoming trip and probably start thinking about what we're buying our nieces and nephews for Hanukah. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. The oldest one (5) is getting a subscription to Hi Lights magazine. I have no clue on the others. They're 3, 2 1/2, and 8 months.
Hope everyone has a great day and a good weekend.
Finally Friday! Tonight I might be on my own since Josh might have a client dinner after work. If so, it's the gym and then ordering a pizza and finding a movie on Amazon Prime for me.
This weekend we're getting all the fixings we need for our Thanksgiving dinner. We're not turkey fans, so the only traditional thing we get is pumpkin pie. This year it's flank steak tacos, refried beans from scratch, an attempt at my mom's rice recipe, and some fresh guajillo sauce on the side. So in writing this, I just realized T-Day's all on me. Eep!
Other than that, I plan on baking some pumpkin bread this weekend, going for long walks if weather permits and trying to figure out a downtown activity to do over next weekend.
Have a good one, all.
Yay Friday! Just a few more hours to weekend! And it's a fairly active one for us.
We got tickets to go see Breaking Dawn tonight, woohoo! And grabbing dinner out beforehand. Tomorrow we're off to Ascot horse races for the day which should be a lot of fun. Sunday we were invited to go see Federer vs Tsonga at the ATP tennis finals.
Hopefully we'll try to fit the gym in somewhere. We went last night, and I went for a swim - I can finally feel like I'm making progress.

I have a PA day today! YAY! Working from home!
Aside from class tomorrow, we've got to hit up a mattress store for a new mattress and we're going to check out the vintage shops for a table. Ideally, we'll find something teak from the '60s or '70s. And brunch on Sunday sans mimosas.

I totally thought today was Monday since I was home yesterday. I hate being home in the middle of the week, but love it so much at the same time. I also pulled something wonky in my back, so I have a heating pad at my desk today. It's like my bones hurt, not even a muscle. No fun.
Chica* Can I come to your house for Thanksgiving? I wish we didn't have to do a turkey, but everyone expects it, so I suppose we should. We finally made our menu last night, so we have a ton of shopping to do this weekend. I'm still glad we're cooking, though. My MIL is a terrible cook. When she asked what she could bring, I said nothing. I really don't want to have bland food at my table. We're also busting out an old nestie favorite - bacon/cheddar scones instead of regular biscuits. Should be a nice twist.
Tonight is low key. I was hoping to win some Dave Matthews tickets, but no such luck this morning. Probably just lounge around and clean up a bit. The cat fur situation is out of control. Usually it's the dogs. Go figure.
Yesterday was eh, I ran then came home and hung out.
Today should be fun. I'm going to dinner and to see Josh Ritter with a friend tonight. So exciting.
Tomorrow I am running a 5k then going to work, then coming home and people are coming home for dinner. It is going to be a busy but productive day.
Sunday My parents are coming over to celebrate my birthday and go out to lunch that should be fun.
Good morning!!
This week is drop off for shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, so I will be stopping at several stores on my way home in order to finish out my shoe boxes.
All of these things are going on this weekend, in no particular order: shopping list for Thanksgiving, shopping list for the rest of the week, actually going shopping, pot luck and Thanksgiving basket making/delivering at church, Christmas card list updating, maybe a trip to Skyline Drive, Sunday dinner at SIL, laundry.

Good morning, ladies.
My daughter is flying home tonight for the TGiving week. I haven't seen her in 3 months, and I'm very excited for her to be home. And I'm excited to be off next week too.
Other than that, we have visitors here all day from the company that bought us. Our bosses are pitching why we are so awesome, and need to be kept around after the merger closes. Fun.
Have a great day, everyone!
Les - have a great time with your daughter and enjoy your time off!
Good morning! Last night I drank entirely too much beer and ate way to many wings, but we had a great time watching the Broncos win!
Tonight I'm going to dinner and to see Breaking Dawn with 8 other girls, I'm so excited! Saturday I'm going to lunch and to a Christmas food and gift festival with my mom. Sunday will be house work and relaxing!
Snoopy, c'mon over! Bring Jackson, too. We can watch him while you relax!
Reba, I wish! Josh indulges me in a lot of things, but dancing isn't one of them. I tried to get him to do a Mexican folkloric dance class with me, but he didn't go for it.
I'm so glad it's Friday. Tonight should be low key. DH will probably pick up dinner for us so I don't have to cook.
Tomorrow morning is up in the air as far as plans. I want to go shopping while DH works but I really should try to do some cleaning around the house. I'll wait and see how I feel in the morning. In the evening I'm going out for dinner and drinks and then to see Breaking Dawn. I'm so freaking excited.
Sunday will be laundry and errand day. Probably visit the IL's in the afternoon. I may skip visiting the IL's to stay home and clean. I'll have to wait and see how I feel about that too I suppose.
Have a great weekend ladies!
I'm home sick today, some teenager gave me whatever nasty virus they have so I'm home trying to not touch Myles too much so he doesn't get sick.
I'm seeing the movie tonight but the rest of the weekend is up in the air depending on how I feel. Boo for being sick.
I came home from work yesterday to Zach having 102 temp. This morning brought him to the docs and he has something viral. No ear infection and his lungs sound good. I'm praying he is better tomorrow for the 3 hour flight. <br>
I just got home from a mani/pedi and some shopping. I still need to pack but it's hard to do when you have a sIck toddler who only wants to nap on you. I'm off to Disney tomorrow so if I don't get a chance to check in, have a great weekend, thanksgiving, and week ladies.
Were in Vegas for the weekend and had an amazing dinner last night. The beef tartar was fantastic. We're nursing hangovers this morning, I think were better off than we would have been if we didn't order room service at 2am.
Today was good day. Last night I slept better and was able to get up at 5am and get a 5 mile run in on the treadmill.
Unfortunately, I have to work weekend. Boo. But at least I'm not on call any of these nights. Tomorrow night we'll go to church like usual and then our friend is having people over to watch UFC. Sunday after work will hopefully be low key.
