here's an easy one for you

Seriously, it's Friday, let's everyone come out and play.

In your master bathroom, would you rather have a double sink or a bigger shower stall?

  • Double sinks. I hate sharing a sink.

  • SINKS.

  • I will say bigger shower.  We just have an individual shower stall in our master and a double sink.  The shower is pretty small just for 1 of us, we definitely couldn't shower together in there!  We almost never get ready at the same time for going out, work, bed, etc.  So, a single sink wouldn't be a problem.  In my grand plan, I want to take the stall out and tile the whole area where the stall is plus extend it a foot or so.
  • Bigger shower, we rarely get ready at the same time.

haha, we don't have one now, but next summer we are going to remodel and move the door so it will become a master bath.

With a double sink, the shower can be ~4ft x 2.5ft. With a single sink, we can rearrange things and make it bigger. This isn't going to be some huge room, though. It is a 1960s house so things will be kind of tight. But hey, they're tight now so no big change.

  • Definitely the shower. We have both now and most of the time we end up using the same sink (the one next to the vanity where we keep our toothbrushes). I would give up the double sinks before I'd give up the large shower.

  • A bigger shower. We have double sinks now and they're rarely used at the same time. Usually there is a cat sleeping in one sink.

  • Double sink - I need my own space and DH is a mess with his toothpaste and shaving.  Although, if the shower had all of the fancy shower heads in the wall and ceiling, I may change my vote :)
