Diaper Bag?

I am not a purse addict but I love a good bag! My "teacher" bag that I toted back and forth to school changed much more frequently than my purse while I was teaching. I am ready to change things up with my diaper bag. My mother-in-law is looking for a gift idea and I think this would be perfect. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Re: Diaper Bag?

  • I don't really use a diaper bag persay, I use a backpack that I bought for Ella, it's a SkipHop backpack, that's a pink mouse. I love it, it will hold alot of her stuff, Diapers/wipes/extra outfit & some toys. And when we go to the gym, I always put her sippy & snack cup in there.

Since your little one is onl 4mths you may need a bigger bag, I know a lot of the gals on here recommend Petunia Pickle Bottom.

  • I got a Bumble bag, the Chloe.  it can be a backpack, messenger bag, over the shoulder, or go on the stroller.  I LOVE IT!!!!  I had a smaller messeger style bag I bought with DS1, and it worked well, but I couldn't wear it well when I wore either kid.  Then with DS2, I needed something to wear like a backpack, since I wear him so much on my front.  and something bigger for 2 kids stuff.  I tried using a backpack, but it was so bulky and large I kept losing stuff in it.  So I saved up some birthday money and splurged on this bag, for $70.  I got the evening bloom color, and I love it.  Big enough, sturdy, washable and fun.  I love the convertible straps.  I bought it from the Bed Bath and Beyond website, with a 20% off online coupon.  They had the best price, and since I couldn't see it before I bought it, I knew it would be easy to return if I hated it.

  • I just bought a Petituna Pickle Bottom Bag.  Love it!  Our first isn't due until January though so I can't talk of how much I'll love it once I actually start using it!
  • I have a coach diaper bag we bought off ebay and I love it!  It has great pockets and it opens wide for easy access.  Try ebay and just search for diaper bags, there are a ton of stylish looking bags!  There are also these purses they make for toting around a large camera and they are super stylish and they seem like it would be awesome for a diaper bag too because of the way it is organized:   http://kellymoorebag.com/

  • I just bought this one (a Skip Hop) at BRU.  It has adjustable straps, lots of pockets and doesn't look like a diaper bag.  Win win in my book!

  • Thanks everyone! I will be on the look out for some of these bags! Now if I could just find a "baby's first xmas" cute onesie or outfit in 12 mo. size since my daughter is a giant...

  • If you cannot find a onesie,  you could buy the iron ons and DIY!  I did this for Cole's monthly onesies's and it worked great!
