Re: Weekend Plans
Today - Took the baby Christmas shopping...for her! Got her a new outfit at TJ Maxx and the brand was Savannah, so I HAD to get it! Tonight, we are staying in.
Saturday - More Christmas shopping, this time for our niece. KMart is having buy one get one 50% off toys. I am hoping to be done shopping by tomorrow!
Sunday - Hanging at home watching football and NASCAR. Also hoping to find a new dessert recipe on Pinterest to make for Thanksgiving! I am obssesed with Pinterest so I am sure I will have no problem.
TGIF!
Tonight: Lounging around with DH.
Tomorrow: Grocery shopping, Breaking Dawn GTG (I am sooo pumped!), Christmas shopping in the evening - we won't be seeing my family at XMas so I want to do their gifts at Thanksgiving.
Sunday: Visiting friends to see their new house.
Today- I did my first solo food shopping trip with the baby. I've gone by myself before and done tons of errands/ other shopping before but just got away the last 8 weeks without doing a food shopping today. I've been baking cakes all afternoon. Tonight, SIL is on her way down and we are going to dinner to use up a groupon type coupon to a restaurant.
Tomorrow- my mom's surprise 60th birthday party. I made two three-layer 9inch cakes for her party (and the cupcakes are still baking that I did to use up the batter).
Sunday- not sure! relaxing? Sleeping in? Who knows.
Tonight, MH and I are either hanging out with some friends, playing pool or we're snuggling on the couch watching movies or something.
Tomorrow, Breaking Dawn with some Nesties I know and then hopefully back to Lewiston in time for a wine tasting at The Vault.
Sunday, I'm working (first of 3 shifts in a row so I can have Wednesday through Saturday off to go to CT for Thanksgiving).
Tonight: Heading out somewhere downtown for an after-dinner drink of some kind.
Tomorrow: Working and then maybe to a friend's house for a veggie chili potluck.
Sunday: Working and probably finalizing my Thanksgiving menu and shopping list...hopefully getting some resumes ready to go out Monday.
TGIF!!
Tonight, I'm not sure, we are probably going to have an early/low-key night because I'm sick and we have the little dude at 6:00 tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow I need to get house stuff done, laundry and yardwork etc. and try to catch up on National Novel Writing Month - I'm a couple of days behind thanks to being sick.
Sunday I don't know yet. Maybe some holiday shopping? Honestly I'm just exhausted. I want to sleep all weekend!!
Tonight: relaxing...
Tomorrow: ILs leave for a week!! Relaxing with the boys in the morning, then to Augusta with the nesties to see Breaking Dawn... stopping by storage to get some Christmas stuff out on the way home.
Sunday: relaxing and then a babysitter is coming so that we can go out for a bit... either to play board games with some of DHs co-workers or just to get some shopping done.
Nice (brisk!) walk after school today with the family. Yummy pumpkin ravioli with homemade garlic cream sauce for dinner. Now relaxing with DVR and ice cream!
Tomorrow morning we are going out to breakfast, to do errands and to a local craft fair to hopefully do some Christmas shopping. No plans in the afternoon or evening.
Sunday Eli and I are going for a walk with a friend and her son, then I might be going to the movies to see Breaking Dawn with a friend in the afternoon.
Tonight--went grocery shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. Had chinese for dinner, and just put Taylor to bed. Watching Nat Geo and I'll probably fall asleep in the chair.
Tomorrow--I have 4 pies to make. I'm still contemplating about the GTG. Guess we'll see if I get the pies done. Lots of house cleaning to do too.
Sunday--Thanksgiving dinner at my Nana's in Brewer, bringing up said pies.
Stopping at TRU to get a couple of Taylor's Christmas gifts and picking up my quilt from my BFF. She started making this quilt 1 year before we got married, and we just had our 5th anniversary this year. LOL....it's a running joke for us now.
Can't wait to get through Wednesday of next week. I'm so tired of working!
This is actually the first time in a while I'm not looking forward to the weekend, let me explain...
Today/Tonight: Started out great, had playgroup-social with the moms group I linked up with down here, made a run to Target, got a workout in and made some tasty veggie fried rice for dinner. Had a bit of a Mommy-meltdown this evening (crying baby, not helpful husband, general stress) so I'm taking a time out and doing some internet spacing out and having a bourbon and cider. Feeling a lot better.
Tomorrow: BIL (the wingnut one) flies in tomorrow night @ 9pm and is staying with us for a FULL WEEK. He means well, but is very blunt and a bit of a bull in a china shop- no matter where he goes, he's always breaking sh!t, and it usually is something expensive. It's never on purpose, it's just that chaos seems to follow him, he just seems to have no sense of the amount of space he takes up. So it's going to be a long week. Another bourbon and cider? Why yes, thank you.
Sunday: Probably showing said BIL around, maybe going down to the lake or walking trails, and doing our best to tire him out (he's got the energy-and attention span- of a cocker spaniel). Hoping to catch some football in the afternoon and not be spending my time walking behind BIL with a dustpan. Maybe I can tie him up outside??? Prepping the house for the rest of DH's family that is coming into town starting Wednesday for Thanksgiving.
Forget the cider, just hand me the bourbon. And a turkey leg. I'll be on the back porch.

Today: worked and now getting ready to watch some DVR'd TV shows. I've been having BH contractions all night...so that's fun.
Tomorrow: Still unsure about the GTG. I'll probably go...but then I really need to spend some time cleaning and doing things around the house for the rest of the weekend. So much to do before the baby gets here!!
Tonight: working until 11 then going home and finishing taping off my living room for paint.
Tomorrow: buy cabinet hardware and a light fixture, put hardware on cabinet doors and put doors back up. Paint living room. Unpack and organize as much as possible. Maybe install new light fixture? Maybe shop for curtains/blinds? We'll see what I have time for.
Sunday: whatever doesn't get done Saturday. Hoping someone will come help us move our couch into the living room... it doesn't fit through the door way but it appears that it could fit through a window if we have some help. More cleaning, unpacking and organizing with the goal being to have a halfway functional home come Monday morning.
