What's going on this weekend?
I'm counting on a pretty quiet weekend, which is good news after spending last weekend in Vegas. Football and errand running tomorrow. Hopefully taking advantage of a nice day on Sunday. That'd be it.
What are you up to?
I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
Re: What's going on this weekend?
Tonight, I'm seeing BFF and her FI. We'll probably order Chinese and just hang out.
Tomorrow, I'll catch up on cleaning and then make a nice dinner with H at home.
Sunday, we're thinking of going out for brunch and then to see a movie.
Since I've been struck down with the crud (You know the one, when your sinuses are trying to escape your face and your throat feels like you've been gargling glass) I think I'll just spend it trying to take it easy. Maybe try and get all the Christmas presents I already bought wrapped up and make sure to get all the laundry caught up. Maybe if I can find the energy clean the bathroom at some point.
Yeah, we don't have anything particularly exciting planned, maybe get started on packing for our Thanksgiving trip.
I plan to have a similar weekend. Lots of unpacking/organizing to do.
BF is making corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight. It's not the healthiest meal, but it's Friday, so hey. I might pick up a pie for him on my way home from work. After that all I want to do is make out on the couch.
You guys are so cute. I love your relationship.
Awww thanks!
My H has been in Belgium all week on business. He gets back late tonight and is catching a cab home from the airport since he'll land at almost midnight and I got up this morning (and every morning) at 4:30. I plan to welcome him home once he wakes me up though
Other than that...we're being boring and lame and domestic. I have boot camp tomorrow morning (for those who haven't seen me AWing all over the place, I'll do it again...I've been going 6 mornings a week to boot camp, plus running 6 days a week, plus yoga, and I've lost 6 pounds and 2% body fat in 4 weeks), and then we'll be doing a lot of cooking and cleaning in preparation for hosting vegetarian Thanksgiving at our house for my parents (coming in from Maryland) and brother (coming in from Iowa). SO excited for that!

Ooohh!! What are you making???
My kids aren't big meat eaters and I'm always on the look out for recipes for them
Aw. Cute.
If H has corned beef and cabbage, making out would not be on the agenda. Opening windows, spraying febreeze and taking the boober for a walk to escape the gassy madness... well, duh. Making out... not even on the radar.

Almost all of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is vegetarian, if you think about it. Green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, turnips, biscuits/rolls, cranberry sauce, etc. I'm doing this stuffing, these pumpkin dumplings, and this wild rice and mushroom pilaf.
Haven't decided yet what to do about gravy. I know the meat eaters will hate the vegan gravy that I think tastes so good!

Way to go, Katie! I am uber-impressed by your dedication.
Thanks for the links! I was wondering if you were going to do a tofu turkey or something like that, lol.
My kids will shank a body for some falafel & hummus
Not much going on here - I am hoping to kick this cold/sinus infection/whatever by resting a lot. I need to do laundry and do some cooking in the crock pot, and probably some yard work and catching up on NaNo. I'm about 3 days behind thanks to being sick!
On the one hand BF and I really need to do something fun and out of the ordinary because we are in a big rut, but on the other hand I'm way too tired to even think about it tonight. So we'll probably go to bed early because the little dude arrives at 6:00 a.m.!
Going to a movie (been doing a lot of that lately, lol) and tackling a mountain of christmas-card making.
And laundry. I think I have 4 loads stored up.
