I am just now getting back on.
My uncle dying was very unexpected. 2 weeks ago he went to the ER bc he was throwing up and nothing was stopping it. He called my mom (he is not married and his children do not visit him and mom has signing power). Anyways that saturday they thought he might have a kink in his small intestine cause he was throwing up bile. So they had a tube in his nose pumping that bile out. Monday they did exploratory surgery and he had scar tissue on his small intestine and that was the reason for the blockage. He struggled getting awake after the surgery and was have trouble breathing so they had him on something to help him breath and the doctors said it looked like his kidneys "were sleeping". So on that Tuesday he was off the breathing machine and moved to a room on Wednesday and the doctors told us he was looking better. On Thursday the bile from the tube coming out his nose got some of that bile into his lungs. He went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing. They brought him back with CPR but did not give us much hope and called all the family in.
Since my mom has signing power she had to sign the DNR and she struggled with that for awhile cause they were not letting us go back and see him. Eventually we went back and he was seizing so hard almost every 5 seconds he would seize so hard his eyes would buldge out. It was horrible. So mom signed the papers and then went back to see him and told him it was ok to let go and I am not kidding you within 15 minutes he died.
My mom has taken it very hard since they were so close.

I saw your post on the F&B board about the pandora bracelets. And I was going to let you know for my birthday my mom got me one. I have this bracelet and I have this bead with it.
I wear my bracelet everyday along with a diamond tennis bracelet Tyler gave me. And I also asked for this bracelet for Christmas and I will wear it everyday also.
