With a heavy heart...
I'm an alum of the board. I used to frequent it quite often while planning my wedding for Sept 09. Anyone who was planning their wedding the same time that I was should be quite familiar with all of the popular vendors we shared with one another. If you were looking for wedding stationery, you were probably familiar with the White Aisle.
It's with a deeply saddened & heavy heart that I share this news with you, but I thought that you should know.
Rebecca Garrison Sokoloff (Owner of the White Aisle) passed over the weekend from a long battle with cancer. Rebecca and I "met" while planning my wedding. She ended up doing my invitations twice due to my original venue closing. She and I became friends through our love of food, travel & philanthropy. She performed charitable work for organizations in Cambodia which I'm very close to. I've never met her in person, but her words, her impact & contributions will forever reside with me.
She was beyond gifted and remarkably beautiful. She left this world way too early.
Her husband has set up a page on her behalf on facebook so that friends and family can leave stories, well wishes, photos, etc. If you knew Rebecca, please take a moment to share your memory about her.
