You might remember from my post the other day that I was worried after I had pain during my 5K race. Today I was working at the smaller hospital and I was able to have one of the ultrasound techs check me out to make sure baby was ok.
She took her time and I got to see the baby for several minutes! Baby had a good strong heartbeat and was moving around quite a bit. I was so relieved and now I feel much better. She did mention that I had an anterior placenta which is nice to know since this is likely why I'm not really feeling too much movement yet.
The whole experience was a reminder that I need to slow down a little and listen to my body better. I do have a few more races coming up but I'll definitely be mindful to just jog them.
Re: PR Update =)
Thanks, kat.
Something else that was interesting...she could see that I was having a Braxton-Hicks contraction during the ultrasound! I thought that was interesting because I didn't feel it. It was probably happening because I really had to go pee.
Yay for a healthy baby!
I think I might be feeling some small nudges and flutters, but I have no idea.
That's interesting about the BH too.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I am glad you were able to get an ultrasound and finally breath, knowing that the little one was good.
