thermostat settings for NW area
Just wondering what an average thermostat setting would be around here. We live in Auburn and have had our 2 story condo for a couple years. We've been trying to play around with the home and away settings for the thermostat so that we're not spending an arm and a leg on electric but so we're also not freezing.
We currently have it set at 65 in the evenings and 60/62 when we're asleep or not home. Too cold or too far apart?

This.

The first year we lived here I tried using the gas fireplace and the next month that gas/electric bill was extremely high. I think it's because we don't have a blower on our fireplace and we have ~ 20ft high vaulted ceilings in our main living space so it was having to work harder to heat the space.
