just wondering. cause i don't. and after spending the day with her today, i know i won't. not for a looooong time. she's got growing up to do. lots of it. and her family? worse. their bill for lunch came out to $49.68. a thirty-two cent tip will not suffice. i'm going crazy here.

i don't think you are supposed to but it always works out better if you do..
she is only 19 right? of course she needs to grow up. i'm sure, well atleast i'm hoping, that having a baby will make her grow up a little faster.
luckily they don't live around here.

I like all of my in-laws; DH has a really awesome family. One of my SILs is a bit more....... crunchy-granola-hippie than I am really comfortable with, but she's not evangelical about it and is a really cool person, so it works out.
That said, I don't think you have to like your ILs at all.

How did the wedding go, or does it need it's own thread?
This is pretty much how I feel about DH's brother's wife. She's nice enough...we just don't have much in common, and we flat out disagree on a few "big" things.
My brother's wife...I'm pretty sure that if we lived close enough to actually spend much time together, we'd be pretty good friends. It's almost creepy how similar we are (considering that my brother married her).

I'm lucky in that my SIL (DH's sister) is a total sweetheart, and she's never had a sister before, so she likes that about me

My brother's gf (who I'm guessing will become my SIL) is really nice, but we don't click quite the same way. Although I'm thinking that's just because we haven't gotten the chance to spend much time together.
