Heidelberg
My DH's co-workers strongly suggested we vistit Heidelberg Germany. Have any of you ever been? Pics look amazing.

We visit now and then. I like it - a lovely city! When would you be there?
I'm sure there are lots of great places to eat there, by the way, but our favorite is Vetters. They brew their own (great) beer and have yummy German food to boot.
I am planning Dec 9th or 10th, looks like they have a nice Xmas market?
I have only been for work and didn't get to see that much but I loved it, so pretty. They took us to the Auto&technik Museum there and it was so much fun. You could get into a Concorde, drool over the Maybach collection etc
If you have a chance definitely go.
They do have a nice little Christmas Market. Like a lot of towns, Heidelberg's Market is not all in one place, so you can stroll around the Altstadt and enjoy it bit by bit. By all means, try the Gl?hwein!!! It will help keep you warm.
