Is it too early to talk gift shopping?
I am basically done my gift-buying for my MIL & FIL, since MIL put the screws to me about some bowls she wanted. I have some ideas for my parents. I am stumped for my SIL & BIL though- no kids, live in a relatively small apt. that is fully decorated, re-done and set, we have given them GC to the grocery service they use before (which also delivers wine) and Omaha steaks in the past so I would like to not repeat. I don't want to give them anything that would just be clutter, and I don't feel comfortable buying them clothes. I wish I could find them something consumable that is unique.

Maybe you could make them some treats? I've seen lots of nice recipes on pinterest for like peanut butter bark, truffles, etc. That would be nice and you'd be putting in some effort.
Or maybe a nice hand-made meaningful craft of sorts. We just got our last wedding gift from our best friends last night and it was a really really lovely, personal, meaningful handmade piece of art in a shadow box. Our house is fully decorated but we found a place for it because it meant a lot to us.

Do they cook? I love the Penzey's spice boxes. It is always my suggestion for this type of thing.

They do cook- they are self-proclaimed foodies- so that would be right up their alley! I am also looking to see if I can find some local beef that could be delivered to them. So the spices + meat would be a good gift.
Wine of the month, for like 3 months.
The spice and meat idea was really good though.
I was considering wine- but more along the lines of just having a mixed case shipped to them straight away. Since they live in an apartment w/o a doorman, I would rather just have them get one big packages vs. multiple packages. They do have a wine rack, so storing wine isn't a huge deal.
As a kidless foodie type who lives in a house that cannot currently accomodate any new decor items or other knick knacks - I would be over the moon at a penzy's box+meat gift.
I give this idea the FoodieDink Stamp of Approval.
My Goodness...another food blog. Featuring: Macarons from a old post with a photo taken by my mom for a break from my crappy food photos!
