I love that our kids share bdays because I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm a huge slacker and just getting started on his baby book. Did you do one and do you have the info for price of gas, gallon of milk, etc? I seem to have failed to record that info. Thanks!

Ha - ours was the Penn State controversy.
Price of milk and gas!? Oops. I just had DH save the newspaper and on my incredibly long list of things to do is start the baby book.
Really. I have no memory that it was that weekend.
Dan was just cleaning out our guest room closet yesterday morning and was like, "Why do we have a newspaper from May 24, 2011? This makes no sense." It took me a few minutes but I was like, "OH! That's the newspaper from the day Danica was born!" My mom bought it because she's obsessed with newspapers on the day of for some reason. She went crazy on our wedding day, too.
I will have to do some googling around but there is a website where you can get this kind of information. When Hunter was born, my mom ordered this poster/picture thing for his room that had all kinds of details for the day he was born which included things you were asking. Let me see if I can remember the website.
It was 1/8. I remember watching it from my hospital bed.
Yikes. When Danica was born, all of those tornadoes were happening and hundreds of people died. I believe it was 12 tornadoes touched down that day. I'm going to skip on that, too. I remember my Pastor coming in to visit the baby in the hospital and she was like, "such good news of the birth of new life after hearing about all the death in Oklahoma."
my cousin is in the news biz and made little man a scrapbook of all of the headlines. he was lucky enough that it was the royal wedding (funny b/c dh shares a birthday with prince william), so lots of light heartedness.
she also included some of the headlines from the following day(s) because it was the osama assasination. i called dh from the hospital, he had just gone home, and told him to go check out the action at the white house. an 11p press conf was scaring the crap out of me, especially with how fast my cousin left the hospital to get to the news station.
thank goodness someone did it because there is no way i would have even thought of it.

yea so i didn't buy a baby book yet. It's on Penny's Christmas list. lol I also kind of "estimate" those things. I suck. lol
How is your little guy doing? He needs to meet Penny so they can be BFFFFs since they are birthday twins.
I love having Lachute/Milo as L's birthday twin!
I will probably estimate as well. I know I got gas the Friday before he was born and that's as close as I can remember ha!
V is doing well! Getting bigger and stronger every day. The smiles have started so I've fallen in love all over again. I think we need to have that giant nestie/baby gtg after the holidays! Especially after the 2010/2011 baby boom!
