Just happened to notice your weight loss ticker and thought I'd drop you a line...
way to go! That is really awesome.
Re: shellindcwife
Wow, thank you SO much! You're the only person on thenest to give me a public shout out...that's AWESOME!
I still remember the last weigh in...I thought the # was going to be low...and it was NINE POUNDS...I started jumping up and down screaming WOO HOO in the trainer's office when I saw that #!
On the flip side, though, I get down sometimes by how hard it is...not being able to go to work lunches, for instance. Last week we had one and they were serving Baja Fresh, already made/assembled. Seriously, when I checked the calorie counts online, nothing that was available was under 1000 calories. That's almost as many calories as I have in one whole day! So I had my 1/2 turkey sandwich and pickle (170 calories) in my classroom and cried b/c I wanted to at least be with everybody to hang out with my friends--but the smell of the food was making me sick (probably b/c I wasn't eating it).
And today, they're doing hot dogs and potato salad...again, with the hot dog bun and the mayo in the salad, it's probably more calories than 2 or 3 meals I have in a day. So, I'll eat what I brought and not attend. It's kind of isolating.
I'm within 7-8 lbs of where I was when I got pregnant so I'm close to pre-preg weight. I'm already in most of my pre-preg pants and one of my 3 pairs of pre-preg jeans. I have another 30 to go past my pre-preg weight, b/c I let it get out of control the first 4 years of my marriage. My trainer's given me a date of March 31 to have it all gone. H's work schedule is kind of screwing up my workouts though b/c I don't want E to be a daycare 12 hours a day and when H is OOT, I don't want to take E to the gym daycare b/c he's already been there 10+ hours. So, sometimes I have to forgo my workouts (boo!).
Thanks for the kind words and for noticing! It really does give me that boost to keep on going........I actually considered having today be a "free day" so that I could eat hot dogs and potato salad...but your post made me reconsider that...I just had a free day yesterday (and drank beers and ate BBQ) and the rest of week may end up wonky b/c I'm traveling, and it's Thanksgiving. Plus, being in a hotel, although there's a gym, it's not my regular equipment and my trainer's not there...so I should not use today as a free day, LOL!
Aw man! I have mixed feelings about spoiling your free day! Sorry! LOL (But you did a good job of explaining why you probably shouldn't have one today.
)
I am so glad that I encouraged you. I have struggled with weight loss both before and after babies so I can relate to your post. I finally met my goal weight at the end of the summer. It's hard work! But so worth it and you should be proud of your discipline to get this far.
Send me a PM sometime and keep me posted. I am cheering for you.
